My Scraps and More: Capture This Moment

Hello and happy Sunday!  I am sharing a layout I created for My Scraps and More using Basic Grey's Typeset collection!  I love this line's colors and fun prints! It's doesn't disappoint for the long time Basic Grey fan! I was inspired by a fellow member at MSAM to scrap a photo of my mom, sister, and niece when my mom was dying of cancer.  It's still tough to scrap photos from this time but this is a happy memory and I know its important to tell the story.

How cute are these coordinating flair?  You receive six in each package!

I layered some of the cardstock stickers along with another flair badge.  I also used a doily and enamel dots from my stash.

Showing a cute tag from the coordinating stickers....I also added a gold paper clip from Teresa Collins' Studio Gold collection.

My title is cut with white cardstock and a cut file from the Silhouette Shop designed by Simple Stories.

Thanks for looking! I hope this inspires you to scrap some of those harder moments in your life!
Have a wonderful day!

My Scraps and More: Christmas Cookies

Sorry that I've been neglecting my blog!  Life has been busy and this week I've been sick. I can't seem to get caught up. I was hoping to scrap all weekend but have been doing more sleeping than playing with paper.  I'm hoping when the kids are on Christmas break I can get some crafting done!

Today I am sharing a layout I have up on the My Scraps and More blog.  If you haven't heard, MSAM is closing at the end of the month.  I'm very sad to hear this as I love being a part of the team as well as having a great community of fellow scrappers to challenge me! Plus, I can "talk shop" without worrying about annoying other people! LOL

I used Elle's Studio's Joyful collection for my page!  I love the non-traditional colors mixed in with the red and green!  I'm always a fan of grey and pink!

I had some Elle's Studio Pink Letter Stickers from a Paper Camellia kit so I thought they would be great for my title!

I used one of the journaling cards to accent my photo...again loving the grey!  I also added some Studio Calico wood veneer starburst and enamel dots from my stash.

I cut out one of the 2x2 squares from the sheet called "Oh What Fun" that has different sizes of snippets you can use.  I also added some of the lovely mini washi tape from Amy Tangerine to accent.

Showing one of the cute sentiments from Oh What Fun...love the grey and type print!

More items from my stash! I added a cute flair badge from {a flair for buttons} as well as a resin star from Freckled Fawn.
Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to shop at My Scraps and More using the code CLOSEOUT50!
Have a great night!

My Scraps and More: Darling

So sorry that I haven't been updating. Life has been a little crazy lately and I find I don't have much energy left over at the end of the day.  I've been dealing with some health issues so many things have been taking a back seat...like scrapbooking and updating my blog!

Anyway, I'm having a sort of couch day and thought I'd share a layout I created for My Scraps and More using Maggie Holmes' Shine collection. I always love anything from Maggie Holmes and Shine doesn't disappoint!

I love the gold glitter word phrase Thickers that coordinate with this line.  I used "Darling" as my title....perfect to go with the sweet photo of my daughter!

Shine comes with a package of wood veneer shapes and phrases; I added this large diamond as well as pieces of flowers from the Ephemera pack.

I added a tag from the Ephemera, as well as pennant stickers and chipboard under my photo!

More ephemera  as well as a cute love chipboard sentiment!

I added some paint splashes of Heidi Swapp Color Shine as well as enamel dot from stash!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to visit the My Scraps and More shop to see this and many more collections!
Have a great day!

My Scraps and More: Hello Lovely

Today I'm sharing a layout that I had up on the My Scraps and More blog using Basic Grey's B-Side collection. I love the bright colors and prints of this line! I instantly thought about Hailey and scrapping a photo of her!  I used two cut files from The Cut Shoppe as well!

I cut my title from the Say The Word Cut File using the black print of one of the b sides. I think the black really helps the colors pop!

I layered pieces of ephemera from B-Side as well as added some cute flair from A Flair For Buttons.

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to visit My Scraps and More for this collection plus lots more!!
Have a great day!

My Scraps and More: Best Day Ever

Yesterday on the My Scraps and More blog, I had a layout using Maggie Holmes' new Shine collection from Crate Paper!

I used one of the Shine Wooden Veneer Words for my title...when I saw these I had to have them!  There are 16 different shapes/words in each package to choose from.
Showing some of the Ephemera and Stickers from the Shine collection. I layered a few under my photo.

One of the many things I love about Crate Paper is that there are many different embellishments to choose from!  I paired more of the Ephemera with stickers, chipboard shapes, and wood veneers! I added some enamel dots from my own stash.

Thanks for stopping by!  Check out this collection in the MSAM shop before its all gone!
Have a great night!

My Scraps and More: Run Paris

This week, the design team at My Scraps and More showcased creating layouts from 6x6 paper pads!  I was given one of my favorites:  the lovely Pink Paislee Atlas to work with for my page!

I started with a circle background cut file from the Silhouette shop. Then I got out a few of my circle hand punches and started adhering different patterns to the center of the circles.

I loved using the smaller papers as it shows off the patterns a bit more!

I included some of the Atlas Ephemera pieces from my stash such as this cute pink tag! I also love the acetate stars too!

I used different strips of patterns at the top and bottom of my page and then stitched through with my sewing machine!

Thank you for stopping by!  Hope this inspires you to use up some of those 6x6 paper pads you have in your stash!  Be sure to check out the MSAM blog for more inspiration from the design team!

My Scraps and More: I Pick You

Yesterday, I had a layout up on the My Scraps and More forums for a fun challenge!  I used
Echo Park's The Story of Fall collection for my page! The colors are absolutely gorgeous and perfect for your favorite fall photos!

I used the "Leaf It To Me" cut file from The Cut Shoppe to create a border under my photo. I incorporated vellum leaves into the mix of patterned papers.

I chose this cute bingo card ephemera from the collection to accent my photo and I used black glitter foam American Craft Thickers for my title.  The wooden veneer arrow is from Studio Calico (I think one of their first releases!)

I used pieces from the ephemera pack as well as coordinating enamel dots to accent my border.

Thanks for looking!  You can find this collection plus LOTS more at the MSAM shop! Don't forget to use coupon code 20SEPT15 for 20% off regular priced items! Have a great night!
