Clear Scraps NEW Mixable Cutie Album

I've been neglecting by blog!  Sorry about that....I will blame it on the weather!  My kids went to school ONE day last week. ONE day! Between MLK, the cold, and being sick they have been home A LOT.  I'm all for pajama days but this mom is ready to get back into a routine!

This past week I was up on the Clear Scraps blog with a mini album I created with one of the new Mixable Albums!  This one is called "Cutie" and is one of four designs. Each book measures 5.75x7 and has alternating acrylic and chipboard pages which are designed with a cascade feature. This means the front cover is smaller than the back.  So cute!

I used Teresa Collins Designs' You Are My Happy collection for my album. I thought it would be great to showcase my family photos (plus I just plain adore the colors!)

I used a combination of the coordinating die cuts and stickers to embellish the front of my album! Plus, added the cute little wooden veneer people from Studio Calico.

I used a hexagon cut file from the Silhouette shop for my background. Journaling was done on this cute journaling card which I added a sticker and enamel arrow.

My first chipboard page I covered mostly in paper but left the edge bare. I used a white paint pen to line the edges to help the page stand out.

TC always has pennants in her collections! I am a big fan of using them in my projects!

For this acrylic page, I used only a photo and the "two" sticker tab. Using my 6 inch Chicken Wire Mascil, I created a fun effect in the upper corner using Dimensional Art Glitter from Art Anthology.

Clear Scraps Believe Christmas Banner

Hello! I'm sorry I've been neglecting my blog!  Between getting ready for Christmas and CHA, I've been a busy lady.  I can't believe the winter show is just around the corner!  I've been working on some fun projects for Clear Scraps and can't wait to show you!

Today, I am up on the Clear Scraps blog with a fun Christmas banner perfect to hang on your mantle.  I used the Believe Banner with comes with 7 acrylic pieces:  two stars, four pennants, and one adorable Christmas tree (complete with a star on top!).

I covered the banner pieces with patterned paper from Pink Paislee's City Sidewalks (I've been hoarding it for awhile!)  Each piece except for the tree has a "25" and a metal embellishment.

For this star, I covered with patterned paper then used Viva's Pearl Pen in Silver to line the edges.  I added a doily and a cute thread card from the ephemera pack. I added bakers twine from Whisker Graphics plus metal numbers from Tim Holtz's Ideology line.  I finished with a few more pieces from the ephemera pack and a decorative pin from Maya Road.

Love the chipboard snowflakes that coordinate with this line!  They even have glitter!

Here is the center piece: the Christmas tree. I left the star blank and lined it with glitter. I cut strips of the patterned paper, ripped the edges and stitched them together.  After adhering to the acrylic, I cut the edges and sanded with my Tim Holtz sanding tool.

I used Tim Holtz's Snowflake Rosette die for this pennant as well as a Maya Road bingo piece and mini paper clip from Tim.

On this star, I used my Clear Scraps 6 Inch Chicken Wire Mascil and Art Anthology's Dimensional Glitter paint to give this fun effect for the background.

You can see my Mascil is well loved! It's one of my favorites to use!

I added a small amount of paint in the center of each hole and used an old credit card to spread the paint across.

And this is what you get! It's hard to tell in the photo but there is a glitter sheen to the paint. You can go as thick or thin as you like...depending on your style.

And here is the last pennant!  I mixed different pieces of the ephemera pack and added a cute "25" flair from {a flair for buttons}.

After I was finished, I used bakers twine from Whisker Graphics to string through my banner to get it ready to hang!
Thanks for stopping by today! Check out this and many more banners in the Clear Scraps shop!
Have a great day!

Echo Park's A Beautiful Life canvas + card

Hello everyone! I'm back to share some more projects done with Echo Park's A Beautiful Life collection.  I created these for The Scrapbooking Studio design team.

First up is a canvas I made using the papers, as well as chipboard words and a doily from Gina's Lasercut Designs.  This is one of my all time favorite photos of my daughter. It was taken last Labor Day weekend up on Michigan.  This butterfly stayed on her hand for at least 20 minutes...amazing!

I applied a light coat of Art Anthology Sorbet in Vegas Gold to the letters.

Here, I used on of Little Yellow Bicycle's cork butterfly embellishments.

Next up is my card!  I stitched patterned papers to the front of my cardstock...

....then I created a flower out of Maya Road cream tulle trim.  In the center, I added another cork butterfly.  I used one of the cardstock stickers and placed it in the center, then added Glossy Accents.
The decorative pins are from Jillibean Soup!

Close up of a few of the cardstock stickers I added to the bottom. I also used Glossy Accents on these, as well!

Thanks for reading! I will be back this week with more projects! Have a great day!

Clear Scraps Camera Acrylic Mini Album

Hello...I'm up on the Clear Scraps blog today with a cute mini album I made with the Camera Acrylic Album and Teresa Collins' Summer Stories collection.

I layered coordinating pieces of the borders, die cuts, and chipboard, as well as added some grey/white bakers twine from Whisker Graphics.

For the front cover, I used my 6 Inch Chicken Wire Mascil with  Art Anthology's Sorbet in Rudy Pink. Love the effect it made!

Here is the inside of the front cover:  I kept it simple by adding a border as well as this die cut sentiment.

On the first page, I allowed most of it to show through. I added a circle for the "opening" of the camera then again layered die cuts and chipboard.

My friends and I did the Dirty Girl 5k last summer up in Graylake, IL. The race has fun, muddy obstacles as well as raises money for breast cancer awareness and research.

Our team: The Udder Mudders! This is our "before" picture.

Love the gold glitter embossed paper that comes with this line. Here, I used more border pieces, as well as a cute chipboard button.  I added veneer hearts from Studio Calico and Freckled Fawn.

For this page, I used a chipboard photo frame from Crate Paper to accent my photo.  I then added pieces of chipboard, as well as sequins, and a cute wooden veneer woman.

One of the clear stamps from the Summer Stories Clear Stamp set:

I love how Teresa includes pennant and flag die cuts in her collections!  I made a banner with  combination of colors and added borders and a flair badge from {a flair for buttons}.

For this page, I did not cover it with paper but inked it with alcohol ink and the 6 Inch Circle Mascil.
I adhered my photos back to back, then added embellishments to each.  You can see one of new clear butterfly decorative pins from Jillibean Soup.

Here is a close up of the effect from the Mascil:  love working with them!

Thanks for stopping by! If you haven't tried the Clear Scrap Mascils I strongly recommend them!  Plus, there are 4 new designs.....including my favorite: chevrons!!  Have a great day!
