Clear Scraps Mason Jar Wood Accordion Shaker Album

Hello friends! I'm back to share another new release from Clear Scraps! This past January the Wood Accordion Shaker Albums were debuted at Creativation!  Today, I'm sharing the Mason Jar Wood Accordion Shaker Album (which is one of my favorite shapes)!  It reminds me of summer time so I  scrapped photos from our family reunion trip to Northern Michigan last summer!

I  have found that chalk paint works well with the Clear Scraps wood! Here, I  used white for the base of the jar.  I  also found a fun metallic black acrylic paint from Plaid that I used on the lid portion.

For the title of my album, I  used the "Life is Good" Chipboard Embellishment Word Title. I  also painted this in the same black metallic acrylic paint as the lid. I  love how the black pops against the bright colors of the paper and floral sticker!   You can also see I  inserted mini stars into my shaker (I    found these in a set at Michaels next to the glitter).

Instead of doing an accordion style album, I  opted do a mini book. The easiest way to do so is to not punch your holes on the right side of your shape.  I  covered all of my pages with patterned paper as well as lined the edges with the white chalk paint.
The pages of the Mason Jar Wood Accordion Shaker Album can easily fit a 3x5 photo. Many of my photos I   wanted to use where vertical so I trimmed them down to 3x5 or 4x4. I  also tend to mat many of my photos as well as add in other patterns behind so that also factors in how large my photo will be.

In my albums, I  like to add in extra pages or areas that I  can add additional photos or journaling. Here, I  adhered my photo to black cardstock that is actually scored as a card.

This is the inside where I  added journaling and a photo. Using flip elements or pockets is a great way to add more to your albums!

I   tried to keep it simple with the embellishments by adding coordinating stickers, brads, and washi tape. I  also utilized my hand punches such as the pennant punch from Fiskars to add in additional elements.

Clear Scraps: Woof! Mixable Album

Happy Monday! Today on the Clear Scraps blog I have a mini album using the new
Woof Mixable Album which is perfect for photos of your favorite canine!  I love our little pug, Max and he is the star of my album!  I used Echo Park Paper's Bark collection to decorate this cute mini.

The first page is an acrylic word which I colored with red alcohol ink and lined with white paint.

The next page is a chipboard shaped bone with fits a wallet sized photo perfectly.  I covered the page with patterned paper.

On the backside of the page, I added a spot for journaling. I created a pockket out of patterned paper as well as added a cute coordinating sticker on top.

I used a kraft tag to type up some info about our sweet puggie and added ribbon from May Arts.

Next up is an acrylic page shaped as a fire hydrant!  I again used red alcohol ink to color the page and then embellished.

I covered this heart shaped chipboard page in paw print patterned paper. I used white acrylic paint to line the edges after using a sanding tool to smooth any excess paper.

The last page is an acrylic shaped dog house with a paw print cut out of the middle.  So cute!

Thank you for stopping by!  I hope you'll check out all of the new product at the Clear Scraps shop!
Have a great night!

My Scraps and More: I Pick You

Yesterday, I had a layout up on the My Scraps and More forums for a fun challenge!  I used
Echo Park's The Story of Fall collection for my page! The colors are absolutely gorgeous and perfect for your favorite fall photos!

I used the "Leaf It To Me" cut file from The Cut Shoppe to create a border under my photo. I incorporated vellum leaves into the mix of patterned papers.

I chose this cute bingo card ephemera from the collection to accent my photo and I used black glitter foam American Craft Thickers for my title.  The wooden veneer arrow is from Studio Calico (I think one of their first releases!)

I used pieces from the ephemera pack as well as coordinating enamel dots to accent my border.

Thanks for looking!  You can find this collection plus LOTS more at the MSAM shop! Don't forget to use coupon code 20SEPT15 for 20% off regular priced items! Have a great night!

Clear Scraps: First Day

Hello everyone! Last week my kiddos went back to school. So today on the Clear Scraps blog I have a layout using the Wire Mixer and Echo Park's Teacher's Pet! I love love love the Mixers...you can use them as a stencil as well as an embellishment!

I first placed my Mixer on my cardstock and used Dylusions Spray Ink in Sunshine Yellow.  I quickly cleaned it off so I could use it on my page.  My title is a cut file from the Silhouette shop called

I added in some of the coordinating Teacher's Pet Element Stickers, as well as a wooden veneer star from Studio Calico and enamel shape from Teresa Collins.

I used my hand punch to create a small banner at the top of my page with different patterns from the collection. I then stitched through using my sewing machine.

Showing more of the coordinating stickers as well as a gold paper clip from
Teresa Collins Studio Gold collection.

This cute wooden veneer letter is from Freckled Fawn...I layered it on top of a Teacher's Pet label sticker.

My Scraps and More: Hello Ten

Time is flying around here.....not sure where it all goes but I'm sorry I haven't kept up with blogging.  This past week, I had a challenge on the My Scraps and More forums for a Word Up Wednesday.  I asked participants to hide their journaling underneath a photo or a flap on their page.  I used
Echo Park's new Anything Goes collection that I ordered from the My Scraps and More shop!  I love the bright patterns and colors in this line!

Two of the sheets in the collection have multi-sized journaling cards that you can cut out. I used this 3x4 card for mine and added a cute pennant sticker.

There are also two 12x12 sticker sheets, as well. I love the multicolored alpha stickers!

Showing more of the cute coordinating stickers!

I also added a few enamel dots and stars from Freckled Fawn that I had in my stash.

Also from Freckled Fawn is the pink arrow clip!

Thanks for stopping by!  Visit the MSAM shop for this collection and much more!  Audrey is getting new stuff every week!  Have a great night!

Hello and Happy Thursday!  Today I am sharing a layout I created for My Scraps and More using the new Echo Park Jack and Jill collection.  I appreciate a good boy-themed line and this doesn't disappoint!  I love the colors and fun die cut stickers!   I thought it went perfect with this adorable photo of my dad and nephew.

I used a fun cut file from The Cut Shoppe called Counting Stars. I think its so cute!

I layered the patterned papers, as well as die cut stickers. I also added  a bold red arrow to accent.

I love the wood grain print as well as the fun tag stickers! I added some bakers twine from
Whisker Graphics as well as flair from {a flair for buttons}. To keep with the star theme, I did add in a couple wooden veneer stars from Studio Calico

Paper Secrets August 15th Sketch

Hello....hope this finds everyone doing well. I have fallen behind again on my blogging.  I'm still trying to get my routine of work/kids at school/training for a half marathon thing down.  I was hoping that life would quiet a bit with kids back in school but that isn't the case.

Today, I am sharing a layout I created for Paper Secrets using the August 15th Sketch. The challenge word is CAMP.

For my layout, I used Echo Park's Sweet Girl from the Paper Secrets shop.  My challenge word items are:  C: chipboard/cloud A: arrow M: mist/mask P: pink/pie chart/pinwheel.

I used my Clear Scraps 12 inch Cloud mask and spray ink from Tattered Angels to create my cloud. I did some outlining with my journaling pen to help it stand out.

You have until the end of the month to link up your own layout to play along.  A winner will receive a Paper Secrets GC to the shop!
Hope you are having a blessed day!
