Teresa Collins Designs' Tinsel and Company: Joy

Hello! It's Thursday and I'm up on the Teresa Collins Designs Design Team blog today with a layout using the NEW Tinsel and Company!   This line is absolutely GORGEOUS in person!  I really love the elegant gold accents, as well as the non-traditional colors!

The collection includes Chipboard Elements with gold, grey, red, and silver pieces. I love this "joy" script and used it for my title.

Teresa never disappoints with elegant embellishments that coordinate with her lines! Here, I used a chipboard star, enamel dot and a couple sequins!  The gold is matte and I love love love the silver stars!!

I love layering different patterns as well as tucking a tag under too! Tinsel and Company has a pack of coordinating tags. Don't you love the gold scroll?  I also added a sentiment from the Sticker sheet.

Showing another chipboard star, sticker, sequins, and enamel dots. I love the little embellishments!

The Photo Overlays in Tinsel and Company are so gorgeous! I will sometimes use them under my photo to allow the design to show through.

Be sure to check out Teresa's new collections in full by clicking here!  Which is your favorite?
Thanks for stopping by...have a great day!

Here is the June 15th sketch created by Kelly Holifield!

And here is my sketch....I used Simple Stories' Homespun collection along with family photos taken by Amy Coon Photography!

For my title, I used some old Pebbles Corrugated Letter Stickers I had in my stash.

Using some of the ephemera and stickers that come with the Homespun collection.

I hope you'll play along with this or another SNS sketch this month! Link up your page for a chance to win a grab bag from this month's sponsor: Chic Tags!

Sketch N Scrap #52 reveal

Hello all!  It's a lazy Saturday at our house today. I've gotten a few projects started but we've mostly been hunkered down waiting for the 6-8 inches we're supposed to receive.  Can I just say I'm so over winter?  I hope this is the last major storm we receive. I am ready for flowers, sun, and 70 degrees.

Today on the Sketch N Scrap blog is a new sketch reveal created by co-owner Lisa Hidy

And here is my layout! I used Crate Paper's new Boys Rule line.  This collection was one of my favorites at CHA-Winter!  I'm always looking for good boy paper and this one hit the mark. I used pictures from our family photo session this past fall taken my Amy Coon Photography. The picture of my husband and son is a favorite!

I cut a handful of stars on my Silhouette plus added a couple of the chipboard pack and a hand drawn wooden veneer star from Studio Calico.

For my title, I cut each of the "like"s  on my Silhouette and the blue glitter letter stickers are American Craft Thickers.

More stars!  The adhesive chipboard pack had a few little chipboard stars so I decided to with it!

Using my sewing machine, I stitched with black thread around the edges.

Check out the blog to see other designers' layouts! And link up yours for a chance to win a prize from this month's sponsor SNS DT member, Monique Fox! Monique is giving away a $20 gift card to Scrapbook.com!
Thanks for stopping by!

Clear Scraps NEW Mixable Cutie Album

I've been neglecting by blog!  Sorry about that....I will blame it on the weather!  My kids went to school ONE day last week. ONE day! Between MLK, the cold, and being sick they have been home A LOT.  I'm all for pajama days but this mom is ready to get back into a routine!

This past week I was up on the Clear Scraps blog with a mini album I created with one of the new Mixable Albums!  This one is called "Cutie" and is one of four designs. Each book measures 5.75x7 and has alternating acrylic and chipboard pages which are designed with a cascade feature. This means the front cover is smaller than the back.  So cute!

I used Teresa Collins Designs' You Are My Happy collection for my album. I thought it would be great to showcase my family photos (plus I just plain adore the colors!)

I used a combination of the coordinating die cuts and stickers to embellish the front of my album! Plus, added the cute little wooden veneer people from Studio Calico.

I used a hexagon cut file from the Silhouette shop for my background. Journaling was done on this cute journaling card which I added a sticker and enamel arrow.

My first chipboard page I covered mostly in paper but left the edge bare. I used a white paint pen to line the edges to help the page stand out.

TC always has pennants in her collections! I am a big fan of using them in my projects!

For this acrylic page, I used only a photo and the "two" sticker tab. Using my 6 inch Chicken Wire Mascil, I created a fun effect in the upper corner using Dimensional Art Glitter from Art Anthology.

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check out this and the rest of the new releases at Clear Scraps!

God Gave Me You....

It's no secret that I am a HUGE Teresa Collins fan...so when I saw her mid release "You are My Happy", I HAD to have it! This past weekend, I finally had a chance to play and it didn't disappoint!  Teresa always has such great color combos in her lines!  And the embellishments!! I love the addition of the epoxy shapes with the enamel dots, as well as the ephemera pack!

This collection comes with cute decorative brads!! And more colors of sequins. I love the gold that coordinates with the border strips and gold embossed paper!

Pennants! Love that Teresa always has pennants in her collections!!  Both die cuts and stickers :)

Showing one of the die cuts with an epoxy arrow. And of course some sequins!

Here, I used an AE Studio from Technique Tuesday stamp in Pebble, along with chevrons from an Amy Tangerine stamp set.

I had the idea for awhile to do this title from one of my favorite songs "God Gave Me You"....it reminds me of my husband.  And I love this photo of us from when we had our family photos taken.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  Take care!

Love This Family

Well, winter arrived here in Central Illinois yesterday. We woke up to a blanket of snow across everything.  I am not a fan of snow but there is always something exciting about the first snow of the season!

Today I am sharing a layout I had originally created for the Chic Tags + Freckled Fawn blog hop. I had been struggling with matching the two kits together so I made two layouts. My other page was on the CT blog yesterday.  I used Teresa Collins Designs' Family Stories...one of my absolute favorite collections!

I created my title using the adorable gold LOVE clip from Freckled Fawn, along with American Craft Thickers, and a cut file from my  Silhouette. I added all these to a 3x4 Chic Tags card from the Exclusive Kit.

A bundle of embellishments!!   I love the "Our Crew" flair from Chic Tags. I added in pieces from the Family Stories collection.

One of the cards from Novembers Exclusive Kit!

Here, I used the #favorites stamp from the CT Clear Stamp Set and added sequins and paint splatters.

Thanks for stopping by!! If winter has come to your house, stay warm today!  Its definitely a good day for me to stay in my scrap room with my space heater :)

Chic Tags Sunday Challenge Sketch!

Today on the Chic Tags blog, DT member Ashley Horton has another awesome sketch reveal!  I love working with her sketches!!

And here is my layout! I used Chic Tags new Happy Place line! I can't tell you how much I love this collection. I usually don't paper hoard, but I wanted to save as much paper as I could! LOL
Guess I'll be asking Veronica for more! :)

Here, I layered a Happy Place Hanging Tag and Cards then added one of the new Happy Place Clear Acetate Tags, as well as a Happy Place Mini Icon.

I cut one of the sentiment tags at bottom of one of the 12x12 sheets and added it to my photo, securing it with a staple.

I stitched one of the Happy Place Phrase tags into my border strip.

Loving the new rub ons as well! The colors are great and they go on smoothly.

You can join in the fun using this sketch! Link up your layout to the Chic Tags blog to be entered to win a fab prize!  Thanks for stopping by today!
