Clear Scraps Heart Printer Tray Frame

Hello friends!  The week is almost over and I'm glad...looking forward to a weekend away with my Scrappy Girls for a fun crop!

Today, I am sharing one of the new Clear Scraps products: the Printer Tray Frames!  I used the Heart shape for my project along with Jillibean Soup's Hardy Hodge Podge collection!

The Printer Trays are a great way to mix up your layouts or to create a fun home decor piece!

I love the dog print included in this collection and wanted use it on my front frame. Using Beacon 3-in-1 Craft Adhesive is the BEST because its solvent based and won't discolor or warp your projects and it dries quickly!  I applied my adhesive directly to the front frame and onto my patterned paper.  Once dry, I cut off the excess paper using scissors and an exacto knife. Also, using a sanding tool helps as well.

One of the fun things to do with the Printer Trays is to create a "shaker" space! I added chunky glitter and coordinating wood veneer pieces.

I added die cuts from the collection to fill a few of the windows..using pop dots helps create dimension.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Check out the variety of Printer Tray Frames by visiting the Clear Scraps Shop!

Paper Camellia: Fun

Woohoo! It's Friday!  This week flew by though!  Today, I'm having my cabinets installed in my scrap room! Super excited to finally be getting some organization!

I have a layout up on the Paper Camellia blog using the July Main and Add-on kits.  I can't tell you how much I love Ria's kits...she does such a great job putting together the right papers and embellishments! This month has a travel theme and its been so fun to create with!

I used the "Going Place"s sheet from Echo Park's Walking on Sunshine and cut out a few of the cards. I then created two banners to go across my page and embellished.  I cut this circle with my hand punch from one of the cards. I thought it would be a cute accent to my photo.  I also added a
My Mind's Eye Wooden Arrow Shape, as well.

Loving these bright colored Thickers from Crate Paper!

Here, I added a die cut from the Jillibean Soup's Sightseeing Stew line as well as an arrow clip from Freckled Fawn.

These layered stitched banners from Crate Paper's Open Road line are adorable!  You receive a few pieces in the main kit!  I also added another MME wooden star and a JBS Travel Sprinkle.

In between my photos and cards, I added some of my own pennants using a hand punch and patterned paper.

I am a big fan of these Chic Tags Wooden Veneer Travel shapes!! Perfect accent for your pages!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you document some of your favorite trips this weekend!  Don't forget to check out the Paper Camellia shop to see the Main Kit plus Add Ons!

Have a great day!

Paper Secrets June 15th Sketch Reveal

This week Paper Secrets revealed another awesome sketch to play with!  Kelly is so talented and I love her creativity!  This sketch's challenge word is GRADS

And for my layout I used shop item Jillibean Soup's Sightseeing Stew.  For my challenge word, I used G: grid paper, R: red  A: arrows  D:  doily  S:  stickers

I love the colors of this line...I've always been a fan of Jillibean Soup!  Here, I added one of the die cut cameras and "popped" it up with foam tape.

For my title, I used Studio Calico's gold foil letter stickers ( something from my Paper Camellia June kit!)

I added a few of the coordinating stickers, as well as added wood veneer stars from Studio Calico. The arrow is another goody from my Paper Camellia kit:  metal shapes from MME's Necessities line.

Again, I added star stickers, as well as a sticker tag for journaling.

Here, I used arrows from both the sticker and die cut sheet for my "A".

Thanks for coming by!  Be sure to link up your own layout based on this sketch for a chance to win a GC to the Paper Secrets shop!  Have a great day!

Sketch N Scrap #58 Sketch Reveal

Happy Sunday...it's June 1st already!  Hard to believe. My kiddos have a half day tomorrow and then they are free for the summer. I think we are all ready! I am looking forward to a less hectic schedule and lots of pool time!

Today on the Sketch N Scrap blog is a new sketch by co-owner Lisa Hidy!

For my layout, I used an older line of Jillibean Soup I had in my stash:  Irish Farmhouse Soup.

My title is made up of American Craft Thickers (the wood grain), Jillibean Soup Alphabeans (red), and Girls Paperie chipboard ledger letters.  I guess not having a scrapbook store in my town has forced me to use up my stash!  LOL    I also layered in some of the die cuts from the Pea Parts sheet of Irish Farmhouse Soup.

Instead of adding journaling, I placed some of the sticker accents from the Shape Stickers  as well as brads from my stash.

For this section, I added the die cut bike and more stickers from the Shape Sticker sheet.

I used my pennant hand punch  to create this fun border! I stitched through with my machine after.  I love how it turned out!

This month's SNS sponsor is Chic Tags!! Link up your layout before June 30th for a chance to win a grab bag from CT!  Thanks for stopping by!

Practical Scrappers Scrap Your Stash Blog Hop!

It's time for another Practical Scrappers Scrap Your Stash Blog Hop!  This month's theme is Easter/spring!  I love the "use your stash" challenges...I am a certified paper hoarder!  In case you didn't come here straight from the Practical Scrapper blog, here is the designer list! I'm happy to be part of a hop with so many talented ladies!

Jennifer Haggerty http://livethemoment-jen.blogspot.com *you are here!
Wendy Coffman: www.stampingrules.com

I used a line I have been holding onto FOREVER:  Pink Paislee's House of Three Daily Junque.  Didn't that come out three years ago? Maybe more?  I don't know but its been collecting dust in my drawer so I decided to get it out!

My title is created with the wooden letters that
coordinate with the collection as well as a cut file from the Silhouette shop.  I also added
some mini gears from Tim Holtz.

I layered many of the coordinating journaling cards from the Ephemera pack, as well as added more mini gears.

I love decorative pins! Here, I used this cute yellow resin flower from Jillibean Soup as well as a trinket pin from Tim Holtz.  I like to hold them in place using a foam dot.

The Ephemera pack came with a small vellum envelope so I thought it was perfect to hide my journaling!
I used one of the mini number tags from Daily Junque to jot down some journaling.

If anyone is interested, I have lots of pieces of the Ephemera Pack left. Anyone who wants it I will send it to you! Free of charge! :) First one to call dibs gets it!

Second, I am leaving for Chicago this afternoon to help Teresa Collins teach at Creative Cards and Crafts! To celebrate, I will be giving away one of her Xyron Mega Runners!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Next up on the blog roll is Audrey Yeager!
Now go leave her some love!!
Hope this inspires you to get out some of your older papers and create! Have a great day!

Sketch N Scrap #38 reveal

It's the first of the month and that means time for another awesome sketch reveal from
Sketch N Scrap!  Today's sketch is designed by co-owner Lisa Hidy. Love working with these sketches!

And here is my layout! Since it's August I wanted to do a back to school themed. I used papers from my July Studio Calico kit.  Love these photos of my little guy on his first day of kindergarten!  So cute and sweet!  Hard to believe he's going to be a big 2nd grader in a couple weeks.

I used Jillbean Soup's Alphabeans in red for my title, then added some orange chevrons cut on my Silhouette.  The stamped sentiment is from the Amy Tangerine Ready Set Go collection.

Here, I used a journaling card from Chic Tags' Everyday collection and my electric typewriter.  I then added washi tape from Pebbles and stamped arrows from the 7gypsies Postale Clear Stamp set. And my flair is from {a flair for buttons}...loving the  cute little camera!

Instead of circles, I used cardstock stickers from Basic Grey's Hey You set then stitched through with my sewing machine.

Love the different layers on this sketch!  I used many different papers including Studio Calico, Simple Stories, and Amy Tangerine.

Thanks for checking out my layout...be sure to head over to Sketch N Scrap for more takes on this sketch!  The next sketch will be out on the 15th!  Have a great day!

Echo Park's A Beautiful Life canvas + card

Hello everyone! I'm back to share some more projects done with Echo Park's A Beautiful Life collection.  I created these for The Scrapbooking Studio design team.

First up is a canvas I made using the papers, as well as chipboard words and a doily from Gina's Lasercut Designs.  This is one of my all time favorite photos of my daughter. It was taken last Labor Day weekend up on Michigan.  This butterfly stayed on her hand for at least 20 minutes...amazing!

I applied a light coat of Art Anthology Sorbet in Vegas Gold to the letters.

Here, I used on of Little Yellow Bicycle's cork butterfly embellishments.

Next up is my card!  I stitched patterned papers to the front of my cardstock...

....then I created a flower out of Maya Road cream tulle trim.  In the center, I added another cork butterfly.  I used one of the cardstock stickers and placed it in the center, then added Glossy Accents.
The decorative pins are from Jillibean Soup!

Close up of a few of the cardstock stickers I added to the bottom. I also used Glossy Accents on these, as well!

Thanks for reading! I will be back this week with more projects! Have a great day!
