Paper Secrets July 15th sketch

Hello friend and happy Saturday! Today, I'm sharing a layout I created for Paper Secrets using the July 15th sketch by Kelly Holifield!  This sketch's challenge word is TRAVEL!

For my layout, I used Authentique's Abroad from the Paper Secrets shop.  My challenge word items are T: tape R: red A: Authentique V: vellum E: enamel dots L: letters.  Many years ago,  my husband and I went to Paris to run the marathon. I took a disposable camera with me and took pics along the course.  Oh to be young and thin again *sigh*

My title is made up of American Craft Thickers from two different sets.  The newsprint ones are pretty old! LOL

Here, I added a couple of the coordinating stickers from Abroad:

Anyone recognize this date stamp? If so you've been scrapping awhile...yes, its Heidi Swapp's date stamp from around 2007ish?  :)

More Abroad stickers with some cute red/white washi tape from Freckled Fawn too!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to link up your own layout to the Paper Secrets blog for a chance to win a shop GC!
Have a great day!

Practical Scrappers Scrap Your Stash Blog Hop: Christmas in July + giveaway!

Hello and thanks for hopping with us today!  I hope you've enjoyed what you've seen so far and that maybe you'll use up some of your Christmas stash! I know I tend to hoard LOTS of Christmas paper!
If you are following the blog roll, you've arrived from Lynn's blog.  Just in case you are skipping around here is the complete list:

For my layout, I used Teresa Collins Designs' Santa's List from her summer 2013 release.  I'm happy to say I used up what I had left except for a handful of 12x12 sheets! :)

My title was cut with white cardstock and cut file #51842
from the Silhouette Shop.

Here, I added a chipboard button from the collection, as well as some sequins and enamel dots.

I typed my journaling up on my electric typewriter with some of the patterned paper from Santa's List.  Do you like to journal with your own handwriting? I wish I had better penmanship...I have some fellow scrappy friends that have gorgeous handwriting!

I added one of these cute pennants from the Chipboard Elements, as well as a doily and a gold paper clip!

More sequins, enamel dots, and chipboard!  Do you see a pattern here? LOL

Thanks again for stopping by!  Before you leave, I love giving away goodies! Today,  I'm doing a giveaway of some Teresa Collins Designs papers and embellishments!! Just comment below and tell me your favorite thing about Christmas!
Now onto Wendy's blog!

Teresa Collins Designs' Tinsel and Company: Joy

Hello! It's Thursday and I'm up on the Teresa Collins Designs Design Team blog today with a layout using the NEW Tinsel and Company!   This line is absolutely GORGEOUS in person!  I really love the elegant gold accents, as well as the non-traditional colors!

The collection includes Chipboard Elements with gold, grey, red, and silver pieces. I love this "joy" script and used it for my title.

Teresa never disappoints with elegant embellishments that coordinate with her lines! Here, I used a chipboard star, enamel dot and a couple sequins!  The gold is matte and I love love love the silver stars!!

I love layering different patterns as well as tucking a tag under too! Tinsel and Company has a pack of coordinating tags. Don't you love the gold scroll?  I also added a sentiment from the Sticker sheet.

Showing another chipboard star, sticker, sequins, and enamel dots. I love the little embellishments!

The Photo Overlays in Tinsel and Company are so gorgeous! I will sometimes use them under my photo to allow the design to show through.

Be sure to check out Teresa's new collections in full by clicking here!  Which is your favorite?
Thanks for stopping by...have a great day!

Clear Scraps Chevron Mascil and Acrylic Border

Sorry I've been so bad about updating my blog. I have a lot of projects to share so I'll try to be better. Honestly,  I haven't been feeling all that great. My energy is low and I've been wiped out. I am starting a new job (maybe) part time at a dental office plus am trying to train for a half marathon.  I wish I knew what was going on with my body. I seem to do well for awhile and then bam! I hit a wall and I'm so exhausted.  Right now, I'm so tired. I spent a lot of time resting today even though its been gorgeous outside.  Anyway, on to my project!
This past week, I had a layout up on the Clear Scraps blog using one of my favorite shapes: Chevrons!  I used Fancy Pants Designs' Parkbench collection featuring my puggie, Max!

I used a portion on of the Chevron Acrylic Border at the top of my page. I chose to leave it bare, but you can easily color acrylic with alcohol inks, acrylic paint, or stamp with Staz-On inks.

So, even before creating my page, I used my Clear Scraps 12 inch Chevron Mascil and lightly sprayed with grey spray ink from October Afternoon.

LOVE this flair from Panda Eight Designs!! I had to use it on my page :)

Thanks for stopping by!  Please check out the new Mascils released this month at the
Clear Scraps shop!  They are so fun to work with!

Chic Tags Sketch It Out Sunday Challenge

It's time for another Sketch It Out Sunday at Chic Tags! This month's sketch is designed by DT member, Sasha Farina.

I used the Cloud 9 collection for my layout!  This is one of my fav CT lines!  The colors and patterns are fun to work with! And the embellishments!  I love the wood veneer shapes and flair...my most favorite are the sequins wood shapes!

For my title, I used the gold foil letter stickers from the Good Tidings collection!  These can be used on any project and gold is so "in" right now!

I used some of the colorful sequins rub ons along with a wood veneer cloud and flair from Cloud 9.

Here, I used one of the Cloud 9 mini icon along with label stickers.

These 2x2 Cloud 9 squares are adorable! I love using them to accent a photo or use for journaling!

Thanks for stopping by....be sure to link up your own layout based on this sketch here for a chance to win a Chic Tags grab bag!  Your deadline is  August 8th!
Have a great day!

Paper Camellia: Fun

Woohoo! It's Friday!  This week flew by though!  Today, I'm having my cabinets installed in my scrap room! Super excited to finally be getting some organization!

I have a layout up on the Paper Camellia blog using the July Main and Add-on kits.  I can't tell you how much I love Ria's kits...she does such a great job putting together the right papers and embellishments! This month has a travel theme and its been so fun to create with!

I used the "Going Place"s sheet from Echo Park's Walking on Sunshine and cut out a few of the cards. I then created two banners to go across my page and embellished.  I cut this circle with my hand punch from one of the cards. I thought it would be a cute accent to my photo.  I also added a
My Mind's Eye Wooden Arrow Shape, as well.

Loving these bright colored Thickers from Crate Paper!

Here, I added a die cut from the Jillibean Soup's Sightseeing Stew line as well as an arrow clip from Freckled Fawn.

These layered stitched banners from Crate Paper's Open Road line are adorable!  You receive a few pieces in the main kit!  I also added another MME wooden star and a JBS Travel Sprinkle.

In between my photos and cards, I added some of my own pennants using a hand punch and patterned paper.

I am a big fan of these Chic Tags Wooden Veneer Travel shapes!! Perfect accent for your pages!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you document some of your favorite trips this weekend!  Don't forget to check out the Paper Camellia shop to see the Main Kit plus Add Ons!

Have a great day!

Teresa Collins Designs: This Is Something Wonderful

Hi friends! Is this week flying by or what? I can't believe its Thursday!  Today I have a layout up on the Teresa Collins Designs Design Team blog using the Something Wonderful collection.  This fun line has great patterns and colors: perfect for just about any theme!  I used one of my favorite photos of my daughter from when she was in preschool!

I used my Silhouette to cut a few triangles into my cardstock background. I then backed them with patterned paper, as well as cut different sized triangles to add on top of my CS.  You can see, too, that I stitched through a couple with my sewing machine.  I also used my new TC Craftwell Cut N Boss to emboss a vellum envelope from the Basically Essential line.  I used the exclusive Triangle folder that came with the HSN bundle.  (What can I say, I "had" to have it!).

I love layering vellum under my photos! I think it makes a nice accent! Here is another shot of the triangles of patterned paper.  I love all of them but the wood grain is my favorite!

I used one of the sentiments from the Chipboard Elements for my title. I then added some enamel dots and a decorative brad.  You can see, too, the little star sequins that coordinates with the collection!

I added another chipboard sentiment plus a sticker over some cute decorative tape at the left hand corner of my photo.  There is never a shortage of selection of embellishments with Teresa's lines!

Another shot of little tidbits...I love to make clusters of small embellishments!

Thank you for stopping by today!  Be sure to check out Teresa's Facebook page this week to see more sneak peeks of her new releases!  I promise you will LOVE them all! Have a great day!

Chic Tags + Twinery Blog Hop!

Hi there fellow scrappers! Thanks for hopping along with us for day 2 of the Chic Tags and The Twinery Blog Hop!

Here is the blog roll if you aren't going in order:

Mandy Kay Starner - http://www.heyheymandykay.com

The Twinery was VERY generous and gave us CT gals lots of pretty colors to play with!  I received bright colors that go perfect with our Cloud 9 collection!

I used one of Amy Tangerine's stitching templates to create my clouds and sunshine!
I layered some of the patterned paper, plus a gold foil journaling card under my photo. I then added a mini icon as well as cute wood veneer cloud!

I also added in some sequins from Teresa Collins Designs along with the Cloud 9 wooden veneer sequins.

Using my Amy Tangerine template again, I added this arrow to my title.

Don't forget to check out yesterday's blog roll, as well as the remainder of today's. One lucky winner will receive a Chic Tags grab bag!  :)  Good luck and thanks for stopping by!
