Adventure with Simple Stories' Travel Notes

Hello and happy Friday! I'm so glad its the weekend!  Today I'm sharing a layout I created for
Simple Stories using the new Travel Notes collection!  It reminds me a lot of Urban Traveler that was released quite a few years ago!  I  love the bright, bold, colorful patterns!

I  am always a big fan of ledger paper and knew I  had to use the Travelogue print as my background!  I   layered a few fun patterns under my photos and used the navy/cream cabana stripe of
See the World as the focal point.  The Bits and Pieces have lots of great accents such as this stacked "adventure" die cut. Using some pop dots, I  adhered it between my photos.

I  used a few of my circle hand punches to cut out different patterns from the collection. I  layered them diagonally across my page.  I  even used some of the small circle stickers from the
 4x6 Sticker Sheets to accent.
I   stitched the outside edges of a few of the circles as well as added in chipboard and journaling spots from the Bits and Pieces pack.

One of my favorite embellishments is the sentiments sheet in the 4x6 Stickers! They are a great way to add a little more to your page!

Clear Scraps Mixable Edgy Album: Let's Go On An Adventure

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a mini I did a few months ago for Clear Scraps!  After layouts, mini album are my favorite to create!  I used the Mixable Edgy Album along with Shimelle's Starshine collection.

Each page alternates from acrylic to chipboard cascading into different sizes!  This gives you lots of opportunity to layer your embellishments!  I tend to leave my acrylic pages "bare" but paint my chipboard...I just like the way the clear acrylic looks.

I documented our weekend trip to Chicago for the NFL draft!  We had a lot of fun hanging out with our friends in Grant Park as well as visiting some local hangouts.

I usually like to include an extra page or two by using envelopes or tags! Here, I used an older Fancy Pants striped envelope I've had in my stash forever.  I layered a Crate Paper chipboard frame with patterned paper as well as an epoxy clip.

Thanks for looking! Be sure to check out the Clear Scraps shop to see the variety of mini albums!  Have a great day!

My Scraps and More: Run Paris

This week, the design team at My Scraps and More showcased creating layouts from 6x6 paper pads!  I was given one of my favorites:  the lovely Pink Paislee Atlas to work with for my page!

I started with a circle background cut file from the Silhouette shop. Then I got out a few of my circle hand punches and started adhering different patterns to the center of the circles.

I loved using the smaller papers as it shows off the patterns a bit more!

I included some of the Atlas Ephemera pieces from my stash such as this cute pink tag! I also love the acetate stars too!

I used different strips of patterns at the top and bottom of my page and then stitched through with my sewing machine!

Thank you for stopping by!  Hope this inspires you to use up some of those 6x6 paper pads you have in your stash!  Be sure to check out the MSAM blog for more inspiration from the design team!

Hello and happy Thursday! Today I'm sharing a layout I created with this month's Paper Camellia Add-On Kit!  I am loving the travel theme of July's kits as there are lots of goodies from Crate Paper, My Mind's Eye, and Pink Paislee!  Also, Ria included Evalicious' new release: "This Way".

I used one of the Crate Paper journaling cards to jot down about our day and added decorative brads from MME as well as epoxy shapes from Evalicious.

I used these adorable cork Evalicious puffy letters for my title as well as another brad from MME!

Paper Camellia: Adventure

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a layout I created using this month's Paper Camellia Main Kit!  July is full of travel themed goodies and you won't be disappointed!

This year Crate Paper, Pink Paislee, and My Mind's Eye released awesome travel lines!  And they all go well together!  For my title, I used the Gold Glitter Heidi Swapp "Adventure" sticker and accented it with a cute gold Jen Hadfield Pebbles Puffy Sticker. Also, My Mind's Eye has cute enamel shapes including these dots and arrows!

Included in the Main Kit is a 12x12 Chipboard Sheet from Crate Paper's Journey collection.  I layered  a chipboard frame and cute road sign on top of my envelope.

This ledger card is so adorable and perfect for journaling! I added letter stickers from Simple Stories as well as a geotag enamel shape from MME.

This month again brings you Paper Camellia exclusives such as this acrylic heart/arrow as well as cork hearts and wooden veneer stars.

I added "rays" of different patterns from the kit on top of my yardstick and then stitched through with my sewing machine.

Thanks for stopping by!  Check out the Paper Camellia shop for this month's kits and extras! Have a great night!

Chic Tags Sketch Challenge

Hello...hope this finds you doing well! It has definitely become fall here in Central Illinois!  I love the colors of autumn but I'm not ready for the cold!!

Today, I am sharing a sketch challenge I had up on the Chic Tags blog this past Friday!
My sketches are pretty simple...I like to leave room for creativity!

And here is my layout I created using the sketch and the Let's Go collection!

Loving the wood veneers and gold foil accents on the Let's Go Tidbits!

I use my gold foil letter stickers from the Good Tidings line a lot...and I'm running out. I may need to find some online!  They go perfect on many of my projects! You can also see some Let's Go flair in the bottom right corner.

Another Let's Go Tidbit I stapled to the top of my photo! I love using them in this way!

For my journaling, I used a few Let's Go Label Stickers....love the colors and they are just the right size to jot a few things down about your page.

So if you want to  play along with my sketch, you have until the end of the month to link up your layout in the comments!  I will be giving away some new exclusive fall Chic Tags goodies!!
Have a great day!

City Museum: Chic Tags' Let's Go Layout

It's Monday friends!   A new week and also today means two more weeks until my kids' first day of school.  So hard to believe!  I also officially start my new job the same day. I took a part time dental hygiene position at a local dental office.  It just kind of all worked out and it seems like this office is a great fit for me. Plus, the doctor and staff are so nice and laid back.

Today, I'm sharing a layout I created for Chic Tags with the Let's Go collection.  This is a great travel line...I'm always amazed with what Veronica and Albert come up with!  The gold foil accents are one of my favorites about this line.

I used my gold foil letter stickers from the Good Tidings collection..these are so classic and great for any project. I am starting to use them all up and will have to try to scout out more. :)

Those of you who know me, know I love to layer!  I used some of the Let's Go cards, as well as added in the Let's Go Tidbits!

I created a banner with some of the Tidbits, as well as hand punched pennants from patterned paper. I also mixed in a wooden veneer geotag shape and a brad from my stash.

I heart the wood veneer sequins that are a part of the Cloud 9 collection.  I'm trying to not hoard them but I love incorporating them into my pages.   I also added splatters of ink, as well as a gold enamel dot and another brad.

I used the bottom strip of one of the patterned papers as a border piece and then stitched through (I use my sewing machine a lot too!).

I created a pocket and used one of the Let's Go cards for my journaling. I added a Let's Go tag at the bottom, as well.

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to check out the Chic Tags shop because Let's Go is 40% off while supplies last!!!  Also, check out the new exclusive Story Teller collection!
Have a great day!
