Chic Tags + Twinery Blog Hop!

Hi there fellow scrappers! Thanks for hopping along with us for day 2 of the Chic Tags and The Twinery Blog Hop!

Here is the blog roll if you aren't going in order:

Mandy Kay Starner - http://www.heyheymandykay.com

The Twinery was VERY generous and gave us CT gals lots of pretty colors to play with!  I received bright colors that go perfect with our Cloud 9 collection!

I used one of Amy Tangerine's stitching templates to create my clouds and sunshine!
I layered some of the patterned paper, plus a gold foil journaling card under my photo. I then added a mini icon as well as cute wood veneer cloud!

I also added in some sequins from Teresa Collins Designs along with the Cloud 9 wooden veneer sequins.

Using my Amy Tangerine template again, I added this arrow to my title.

Don't forget to check out yesterday's blog roll, as well as the remainder of today's. One lucky winner will receive a Chic Tags grab bag!  :)  Good luck and thanks for stopping by!

Carta Bella's So Noted card

Hello and happy Friday!  I cannot believe its September already! It's going to be in the 90's this weekend here in Central Illinois. I admit I'm itching for some fall weather...plus I can't wait to put up my fall decorations!

Today I am sharing a card I created for The Scrapbooking Studio using Carta Bella' So Noted line.
I love the soft colors and vintage feel of this collection.  It inspired me to go with a different creating style.

I used plain Grunge Board and Tim Holtz's Mini Sewing Room Die to create the dressform.  I covered it with patterned paper and added a cute button, as well as new bakers twine from
The Twinery and a decorative button from Maya Road.

Here I used the Fiskars Jenni Bowlin Pennant punch to create this banner. I stitched through with my sewing machine. (To me, nothing is complete without some sewing!)

Here is the inside of my card.  I used a few of the coordinating cardstock stickers along with a stamped sentiment from Studio 490 Wendy Vecchi.  I then used my 03 American Crafts journaling pen to sketch around the squares.

Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back soon with another project with this line! Have a great day!

Clear Scraps House Acrylic Album

Hello!  Today I'm up on the Clear Scraps blog with a cute mini book! I used the House Acrylic Album and Crate Paper's new Close Knit.  One of the many things I love about Clear Scraps albums is that they are not only great quality, but they have such a large selection.

The House Acrylic Album has different sizes and shapes for each page which allows your work to show through.

Love the chipboard pieces from Closely Knit! Here I layered them on the front of my cover and added some decorative pins and heart button from My Mind's Eye.

Love this stamp I've had in my stash for some time!   I am a big Wizard of Oz fan so when I saw it, I had to have it!

I used Wendy Vecchi's  Homemade Art stamp set for my book. Love this "blue print" stamp. I also added a wire bird from Maya Road, as well as a cluster of buttons and enamel dots.

Here, I layered alternating strips of patterns that I punched with my scallop border punch.  The "home" and house is a Silhouette cut file. I then added letter stickers from October Afternoon and a chipboard heart from the 12x12 Close Knit sheet.

I chose this time to leave most of the acrylic pages "bare" but this one I used the Clear Scraps 6 inch Chicken Wire Mascil with Distress Ink to create this fun effect.

Here is a close up of the Mascil and paint....

Be sure to check out the Clear Scraps shop to find these products and a lot more!  Thanks for stopping by!

Inspired by Pinterest-Valentine edition!

Happy Valentine's Day! Today I also have a project up on Practical Scrappers in which we did an "Inspired by Pinterest" post.

I saw this cute Valentine countdown frame on the Tater Tots and Jelly blog...

....which inspired me to make this!

Using an empty frame, I added ATC cards done with Basic Grey's True Love line.  I adhered pink/white bakers twine from The Twinery to the back of the frame and used mini clothes pins from Canvas Corp to hang my cards.

Here is a close up of one of the cards:  I used a Silhouette file to cut the word bubble then added a wooden veneer arrow from Studio Calico, as well as a chipboard heart and enamel dot from Teresa Collins.

Here, I took patterned paper and affixed it at an angle and then stitched through.  The circle sentiment comes on the coordinating cardstock sticker sheet.

This card is a bit more simple. I love the ledger paper!  The stamped sentiment is from the
Elle's Studio  Hello Sweetheart clear stamp set. Then I added a chipboard heart and cardstock sticker pennant.

Another Silhouette cut! I actually had this left over from another project.  The heart pennant at the bottom is also a from the Silhouette studio (#37507).

For this card, I used some of my new chevron vellum that came in my Studio Calico kit yesterday! Its too good to not use! I overlayed the vellum on the patterned paper and stitched upper and lower pockets. I added little bits of the stickers and chipboard to free float inside the pockets.

For this card, I used a Silhouette card file (#38753) and stitched it over patterned paper. I added a cute mini chipboard arrow and some washi tape from Freckled Fawn.  The stamped sentiment is from the same Elle's Studio clear stamp set above.

Thank for stopping by! Hope you have a lovely heart day!
