First Day with Maggie Holmes' Gather

Hello...I'm not sure where the last few weeks have gone. All I know is that I've been busy and haven't had enough time to scrap.  Now that the weather is turning more fall-like maybe I'll get a chance to do some creating.

Today, I'm sharing a layout I created just for myself! I used a sketch from Creative Scrappers and Maggie Holmes' Gather collection. I am a big fan of Kristine's sketches and have been wanting to play along for some time.  So, here is the sketch:

And here is my layout! I scrapped some photos of my daughter on her first day of school this year! I can't believe she is in 8th grade!  Last year of junior high!

I love grid layouts...they are fun and easy!  I used different patterns from Gather for my squares...but mixed it up a bit so I could add the vertical photo of my daughter.

How cute are these ribbon embellishments?  I love the colors of this collection!

Thanks for looking! Be sure to check out the Creative Scrappers blog to see more great sketches!

My Scraps and More: Teamwork

Hello...I'm behind on blogging right now! Things have been crazy around here..just trying to get ready for company this weekend for Easter.  And in less than two weeks my husband, daughter, and I leave for a mission trip to Haiti!  I'm feeling a tad overwhelmed....trying to give it to God and focus on the big picture. Honestly, I'm anxious and been a little crabby.  I know I over worry...I do it to myself all the time.  Trying to remember to breathe.

Tonight, I'm sharing a layout I did for My Scraps and More using Ashley Horton's fun sketch!  Ashley is the guest sketch artist and I loved working with her creation!

For my page, I used Basic Grey's new Adrift collection from the MSAM shop!  I love the colors and prints....very boy themed!  I thought it went well with this photo I took at my son's first Upward basketball game in January.

I used these "old" Amy Tangerine American Craft Thickers for my title. I think these were included in her first release? LOL

I used the pie chart cut file from the Silhouette shop and stitched through with my sewing machine. I also added some title stickers as well as die cuts from the Adrift collection.

I also adding in some enamel dots from my stash as well as Studio Calico wooden veneer stars (they are my favorite!).

Thanks for looking!  Check out all of the new collections Audrey has in at My Scraps and More!  Starting tomorrow you can use code NOFOOLIN20 for 20% off all regular priced items!
Have a great night!

My Scraps and More: Pancakes for Dinner

Hello! It's the weekend finally!  The temps are supposed to be in the low 60's which is great news!

Today on the My Scraps and More blog I have a layout using MSAM Sketch #101 with
October Afternoon's Saturday Mornings collection. I love the retro feel of this line; the prints are so cute!
The pancake print made me want to scrap these older photos of my daughter...she used to eat pancakes for almost every meal.

So, here is the sketch created by owner, Audrey Yeager!

And here is my layout!

I used letter stickers from OA's Daily Flash line for my title.

I cut strips of different patterns and stitched through.  I also added some stamping with my Glitz triangles roller stamp.

Using different sized hand punches, I cut circles and adhered randomly on my page. I also added wooden veneer starbursts from Studio Calico, as well as enamel dots.  The journaling spot from Saturday Mornings Do-Dads is perfect to jot down some information about my page.

I always love the OA Tin Pins as well! The stack of pancakes is perfect for my page!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Check out the MSAM shop for many collections...including some new Jillibean Soup!  Use code Lucky20 for 20% off during the month of March! And I promise Audrey is super fast with shipping! I usually have my items within three days!  :)
Have a great day!

Paper Camellia: Minecraft Love

Hello...sorry for not posting. The last couple weeks have been long and busy.  I worked extra days the week before last. The kids have had a lot of activities too.  This week, I just can't seem to keep up..my energy has been lagging a bit.  I'm still getting my exercise in but I've needed a nap almost every day.

Today, I'm sharing a layout I had up on the Paper Camellia blog yesterday using this month's Main Kit and a  card sketch by the lovely Kristine Davidson.

There is a lot of papers from Crate Paper's Kiss Kiss and We R Memory Keepers Love Notes!  The pinks and mint green go so well together.

For my title, I used the American Craft grey Darling Thickers and the Kiss Kiss Valentine Accent Thickers.  The gold glitter is my favorite!

I used one of the squares to jot down some journaling as well as add some little pieces of patterned paper and a multi-colored heart from Kiss Kiss.

Also in the Main Kit are the Kiss Kiss 6x12 Accent Stickers. I used one of the cute pennants and stitched it above my photo.

Thanks for stopping by! Check out the Paper Camellia shop to see this kit and much more!
Have a wonderful day!

Paper Camellia December Sketch

Whoa...December is flying by!  Not sure where time is going but Christmas is less than two weeks away!  Today, I'm sharing a layout I created with this month's Paper Camellia kit (plus add-on) and sketch by Kristine Davidson!

And here is my layout! I used many of the papers from Pink Paislee's Bella Rouge along with Amy Tangerine's new Stitched collection. Love the pinks, greys, and yellows togethether!

Included in the main kit is an entire pack of Heidi Swapp Wood Veneer shapes and words! Here, I used one of the stars along with some acetate shapes and tags from Pink Paislee.

More fun die cuts from the kits including a sentiment from the Stitched Ephemera pack and an acetate butterfly from Bella Rouge.

I cut my stars on my Silhouette using the Echo Park Stars cut file (#38376).

Included in the main kit are these Amy Tangerine Thickers that go with pretty much any project!

I love this sentiment from the Bella Rouge collection!  I added a wood veneer arrow from Heidi Swapp and my date stamp from American Crafts.

Thanks for coming by today......you have until December 28th to link up your own layout to the Paper Camellia gallery for a chance to win a GC to the shop!  Have a great Sunday!

Chic Tags Sketch Challenge

Hello...hope this finds you doing well! It has definitely become fall here in Central Illinois!  I love the colors of autumn but I'm not ready for the cold!!

Today, I am sharing a sketch challenge I had up on the Chic Tags blog this past Friday!
My sketches are pretty simple...I like to leave room for creativity!

And here is my layout I created using the sketch and the Let's Go collection!

Loving the wood veneers and gold foil accents on the Let's Go Tidbits!

I use my gold foil letter stickers from the Good Tidings line a lot...and I'm running out. I may need to find some online!  They go perfect on many of my projects! You can also see some Let's Go flair in the bottom right corner.

Another Let's Go Tidbit I stapled to the top of my photo! I love using them in this way!

For my journaling, I used a few Let's Go Label Stickers....love the colors and they are just the right size to jot a few things down about your page.

So if you want to  play along with my sketch, you have until the end of the month to link up your layout in the comments!  I will be giving away some new exclusive fall Chic Tags goodies!!
Have a great day!
