My Creative Scrapbook: February Main Kit

This month I am guest designing at My Creative Scrapbook using February's Main Kit!  I was very honored and excited to ask to guest design! (I have been missing being a part of a kit club since Paper Camellia ended their subscriptions).   

 I was not disappointed by the contents of this month's kit!  The papers and embellishments from We R Memory Keepers and Crate Paper are absolutely gorgeous and fun to create with!  

I made three layouts as well as three cards with the kit...honestly I probably could've done more because I had plenty left over!

Paper Camellia: Beautiful

Well, it has been my turn to be sick....I was down most of the weekend with strep and a double ear infection. Still not feeling good but my doctor put me on a stronger antibiotic so hopefully that will help!  I'm so ready for spring! 

 

Today, I'm up on the Paper Camellia blog using this month's Main Kit.  Ria always does a fabulous job putting together the right mixture of embellishments and paper! February's kit doesn't disappoint! There is lots of Crate Paper's Kiss Kiss and We R Memory Keepers Love Notes. 

 

 

 

I used one of the exclusive Paper Camellia wooden veneer words for my title!  The main kit includes words and shapes. 

 

Also in the Main Kit are lots of embellishments such as the 6x12 Accent stickers from Kiss Kiss, as well as the gold glitter American Craft Thicker Words and Shapes.  

I added a stitched circle as well as accent stickers and enamel dot (from my stash).

Paper Camellia: Minecraft Love

Hello...sorry for not posting. The last couple weeks have been long and busy.  I worked extra days the week before last. The kids have had a lot of activities too.  This week, I just can't seem to keep up..my energy has been lagging a bit.  I'm still getting my exercise in but I've needed a nap almost every day. 

 

Today, I'm sharing a layout I had up on the Paper Camellia blog yesterday using this month's Main Kit and a  card sketch by the lovely Kristine Davidson.

 

 

 

There is a lot of papers from Crate Paper's Kiss Kiss and We R Memory Keepers Love Notes!  The pinks and mint green go so well together.

 

For my title, I used the American Craft grey Darling Thickers and the Kiss Kiss Valentine Accent Thickers.  The gold glitter is my favorite!

 

I used one of the squares to jot down some journaling as well as add some little pieces of patterned paper and a multi-colored heart from Kiss Kiss.  

 

Also in the Main Kit are the Kiss Kiss 6x12 Accent Stickers. I used one of the cute pennants and stitched it above my photo.

Sketch N Scrap Sketch #40 reveal

 

Hello everyone....it's September!    And that means time for another sketch reveal from Sketch N Scrap! Sketch #40 is designed by co-owner Lisa Hidy.

 

Here is my layout! I used We R Memory Keeper's new Chalkboard line (bought at my LSS,

The Scrapbooking Studio).  Love the colors of these patterns!!  Especially the pinks and blues!

 

 

 

I used wallet sized photos so I could use multiple pictures.  Here, I used a cute pink alpha flair from {a flair for buttons}. 

 

 

I hand stitched my circles with embroidery floss from We R Memory Keepers, as well as machine stitched. I added sequins from Teresa Collins Designs and enamel dots from My Mind's Eye.

 

 

A cute date stamp and wood veneer starburst from Studio Calico.

 

For my title, I used Thickers from American Crafts, then added an arrow from Pink Paislee. I colored it with a Gelato.

Echo Park's A Beautiful Life layouts

 

Hello! It's been a busy week here...my family and I took a few days to head up to Wisconsin Dells. We stayed at one of the massive resorts and did a TON of swimming!   I have a few days at home then I'm leaving for the summer CHA show in Vegas!  Excited to go and see the new stuff in person! I will definitely try to post some highlights while I'm out there! 

Today, I am sharing two one-page layouts I created with Echo Park's A Beautiful Life collection. I made these for The Scrapbooking Studio design team. 
 

 This first layout, I wanted to lay my papers and photos on a slant. I had an idea in my head..and well, it turned out not as I thought but I still like it.  I used my sewing machine to stitch through each layer too. 

 

 

My title is a combination of a Silhouette cut file and Thickers from American Crafts. 

 

 

Here, I used We R Memory Keepers' glittered eyelets and tied bakers twine from Whiskers Graphics through. 

 

Some of the pennant/flag stickers that coordinate with the line.  There are not one, but two 12x12 sticker sheets that come with the collection!

 

Using some of the many cardstock stickers from the Elements Sticker Sheet. 

 

 

 For my second layout, I used squares of three different patterns and stitched the edges (of course!). 

 

 

 Here are more of the cardstock stickers:  love the colors; especially the woodgrain!

 

 

My title is a Silhouette cut file that I misted with Caribbean Blue from Tattered Angels.

Here, I added some woodgrain flair from {a flair for buttons} and Red Alphabean letter stickers from Jillibean Soup.

 

Love this thin chevron washi from Pebbles!

 

One of the best tools to come out in the past couple years is the date/sentiment stamp!  Love using these! This one is from Studio Calico!

My Mind's Eye's Boy Crazy mini book + giveaway

Hello everyone...I'm back and partially on the mend from being sick. Unfortunately, I am not making the trip to St. Louis today for CKC :(  Susan and I decided it was better for her to find someone else to help out.  Hopefully I can go to the Scrapbook Expo in August. 

 

Anyway, I'm taking the day to just sit in my room and get caught up. I have felt so behind lately. 

 

Today I am sharing a mini book I created for The Scrapbooking Studio design team. I used

 My Mind's Eye's new Boy Crazy line. Love love love the colors and patterns!  The embellishments are pretty great too!  As always, MME doesn't disappoint.  There is coordinating washi tape and enamel dots! 

Here is my cover...I took white chipboard and sprayed it with Dylusions in Sunshine Yellow then covered with different pieces of the patterned paper. 

 

 

Title with letter stickers by Jillibean Soup and American Craft Thickers. I colored my wooden veneer arrow (Studio Calico) with Dylusions in Postbox Red. 

 

For the inside of the cover, I used my Mr. Huey mask and again used Postbox Red.  The word bubble is cut from the Silhouette. I added some of the chipboard pennants, as well as a cute star pin from Maya Road.

 

I tried to use up letter sticker throughout my book...it's a great way to mix things up as well as use what is in your stash. Who knew one could have so many sheets of letter stickers!  And I  keep buying more!

 

This page is cut from the 12x12 Clear Scraps acrylic sheet.  Love using these as pages in mini books! 

 

 

 Here, I used one of the layered stickers...loving the robot theme. I also used more letter stickers from Jillibean Soup (I think I have them in every color!) and my new stamp set from Amy Tangerine's Yes Please. I stamped the ampersand onto patterned paper and popped it up with foam dots.

 

 

 

I made this insert out of a regular business envelope. I inked the edges with Fired Brick Distress Ink from Ranger and then covered with patterned paper and stickers. I adhered the inside together to create a mini card.

 

 

Here is the backside of the insert: I layered cardstock stickers, as well as the coordinating chipboard buttons. 

I also incorporated some of the journaling spots from October Afternoon that I had in my stash.

 

 

 The inside of the back cover...I used another cut file from my Silhouette and added the fun star washi tape and more buttons and enamel dots.
