Clear Scraps and Ruby Rock It Hop

This week Clear Scraps is teaming up with Ruby Rock It! They were nice to send our team a large selection of papers and embellishments!  I created a little home decor piece using the 3.5 x 5 Clear Box along with the Clearly Accent Bird and Cage Embellishments!  I used Ranger Alcohol ink to color my bird and cage.  I also added chipboard pieces from Ruby Rock It Nostalgia, as well as a cute pin from Jillibean Soup.

Here is my project in full view.  I covered the sides with patterned paper from the Nostalgia collection.

I created a mini album to fit inside the Clear Box!  I decided to do a sort of ATC type of book to use some of my supplies.

Be sure to check out the Clear Scraps and Ruby Rock It blogs for lots of inspiration this week! Have a great day!

Clear Scraps and Pion Designs

Hello! This week the Clear Scraps design team is pairing up with Pion Designs!  For my project, I altered the new Small Regular Portrait Clipboard with Pion Designs' Vintage Wedding and From Grandma's Attic Vintage Cut Outs.

I used one of the Butterfly Mixers to accent my clipboard and affixed a jewel in the center.

To color my butterfly, I used two different colors of Ranger Alcohol Ink. You can apply with either an applicator or by dripping directly onto the acrylic.

To give my butterfly some sparkle, I added some Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam after the alcohol ink was dry.

Here is a close up of my background I created with the 6 inch Diamonds Mascil.

Here is how I created my background! First, I secured my Mascil to my paper using washi tape. I then applied a thin layer of modeling paste.

Keeping the Mascil in place, I lightly sprayed with spray inks. Feel free to experiment and use multiple colors!

Here is my end result!

I also used spray ink some old Maya Road chipboard letters I had in my stash!

For bonus, I created a card too using the Heart Send It Clear Card!

I colored one of the birds from the Clearly Accent Bird and Cage Embellishments with Ranger Alcohol ink.

For my background, I used the 6 inch Damask Mascil with modeling paste.

My stamped sentiment is from the Technique Tuesday Studio AE stamp set "Loving Words".

Thanks for stopping by! There is lots of inspiration all week at the Clear Scraps blog! Also, visit the Clear Scraps shop for these products and a lot more! Have a great day!

Paper Camellia December Days Christmas Countdown Mini Album

Hello...sorry I've been neglecting my blog!  I haven't been making much time to post.  Work has been busy as well as the kids' activities keep me hopping.  Anyway, I will try to be better!  And honestly, I've been in a bit of a funk when it comes to scrapbooking.  I'm hoping to spend the entire  day in my room tomorrow to try to get some of my mojo back. ;)
Today, I'm sharing a mini album I created using the Paper Camellia December Days kit.  This extra kit is stocked full of beautiful paper with the traditional red and greens, as well as touches of grey and black.  Also, you have a multitude of embellishments to choose from!

The kit also includes exclusive wood veneer words such as this "Joy".   I adhered a few of the die cut trees from the Pink Paislee Merry and Bright collection.

December Days also has exclusive flair buttons!  I used the cute reindeer at the top of my page with a glitter snowflake.

I used an 8 1/2 x 11 page protector and cut it down to 4x6. I then added the Teresa Collins Designs sequins and stitched the edges. Lastly, I added one of the Pink Paislee Glitter Words.

I am loving the White Wood Grain Cardstock from American Crafts!! It's so lovely! Did you know you can order it from the Paper Camellia shop?
