Clear Scraps Cloud Mixers: You Are My Sunshine

Hello! Sorry for my lack of updating.....I'm still trying to recover from pneumonia.  I haven't had much energy to be in my scrap room.  I think I'm on the upswing (at least I hope!).
Today, I'm up in the Clear Scraps blog with a layout and card I created using the new Cloud Mixers.  I really love the Mixers and was excited when Susan and Jim released them in January!  You can use the Mixers and a stencil and an embellishment!

I first used my 12 inch Cloud Mascil with Tattered Angels spray ink on a white cardstock background.

Here, you can see the Cloud Mixers:  the one on the right I embossed using the Craftwell Delicate Dot embossing folder and my eBosser.  I then adhered my letters for my title over the clouds.

I used papers from Studio Calico and Basic Grey from the Studio Calico March kit.

Here, I added enamel dots from Twine and Ink as well as a wooden veneer heart from Studio Calico.

Since I had an extra cloud, I decided to make a card as well! I used a cut file from the Silhouette shop for the sunburst, adhered, and then stitched through.  I embossed this cloud with the Teresa Collins Craftwell Honeycomb embossing folder. I finished by adding my title (another cut file) and some sequins and enamel dots!

Inside, I stamped this sentiment from the Teresa Collins Designs' Save The Date clear stamp set.  I added enamel dots from Twine and Ink (from the SC March kit).

Thanks for looking today...stop by the Clear Scraps shop and check out more Mixers! I promise you will love creating with them!

Clear Scraps *new* Mixers

Hello!  This week has gone so fast...can't believe its Thursday already!  Today on the Clear Scraps blog I have two layouts I created for CHA with the new Mixers.  These by far are my favorite of the new release!!  Mixers are thin acrylic shapes that can be used as a stencil and embellishment!

First up, I used the Feathers Mixers and I love how my layout came out!  I used Maggie Holmes'
Flea Market collection from Crate Paper.  The photo is of my beautiful angel mother when she was 17 yrs old.

I first placed the feathers onto my cardstock and used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Caribbean Blue to create a negative image.

I then took the Mixers and added alcohol ink from Ranger in Slate and Red Pepper. I didn't dry off the spray ink either, so the colors ran together.

Here, I added some of the resin flowers from the Ephemera pack as well as enamel dots from

My title is cut with patterned paper and a Silhouette cut file (#36745).   I stitched through a few times, as well.

Love the jewel pins and stitched pennants that coordinate with Flea Market!

On my next layout, I used the Gear Mixers. I think they are perfect for any boy/guy themed project!

Again, I first used the Mixers as a stencil and sprayed onto my cardstock.  I then used alcohol ink to color the gears.  I used My Mind's Eye's Chalk Studio collection for this page.

I also used a few of the Echo Park Gears by Lori Whitlock on my Silhouette in black cardstock and patterned paper (#30449).
My title is also another cut file from Lori Whitlock (#33606).

Love these Phrase tags from Chic Tags! Perfect to use to document the date or add some journaling!

I created a banner with different hand punches and stitched along the top.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Be sure to check out the Clear Scrap shop for these products plus many more Mixers!  Right now, there is a clearance sale going on as well!
Have a great day!

Paper Secrets January 15th Sketch Reveal

Today at Paper Secrets is another fun sketch by Kelly Holifield!  And the word to use is Winter!

And here is my layout using Teresa Collins Designs' Memorabilia collection!
W- white cardstock
I- ink
N- number
T- teal
E- enamel dots
R- rub on

I used these cool rubber American Craft letter stickers and a chipboard piece from Memorabilia for my title.

I created a cluster of enamel dots and decorative brads from Memorabilia as well as ink splatters with Tattered Angels Spray Ink.

I used a Tim Holtz mini number on top of a chipboard piece at the bottom of my photo.

Under my journaling, I used a date stamp from Pebbles and a cute little rub on arrow from Chic Tags!

Check out the Paper Secrets blog to see more takes on this sketch. And play along with us for a chance to win a gift card to the Paper Secrets shop!
Have a good day!

Clear Scraps Give Thanks card and layout

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my friends!  I hope you have a wonderful day if you are celebrating or not :)

Today, I'm up on the Clear Scraps blog with a card and layout for Thanksgiving.  I used a Regular Send It Clear card and the 6 Inch Chicken Wire Mascil to create my card. Also, SEI was gracious enough to give our design team two collections including Yesteryear which is perfect for this time of year.

After adhering my patterned paper to the right and left flaps, I used my Chicken Wire Mascil and Heidi Swapp's Color Shine in Silver to create a fun background.

And here's the end result!  Love how this looks :)

I then cut my title from white cardstock and my Silhouette. I lightly spritzed it with Tattered Leather from Tattered Angels and added elements from Yesteryear's Sundries pack.

On the inside, I added a die cut from Yesteryear plus buttons and canvas pennants.

One of the pennants, I used my Chicken Wire Mascil and Color Shine again.

To keep with the grateful theme, I created a layout using the 6 Inch Circle Mascil to create a background.  Again, I used HS Colorshine in Silver.

Here is a close up shot of the circles! I lightly sprayed from about 6 inches above my paper.  You can make it as light or dark as you want.

Some of the great embellishments from Teresa Collins Designs' Family Stories!

My title is from the Silhouette and cardstock...I colored with Tattered Angels in Caribbean Blue.

Love these border pieces!! I just ordered them because I still had some paper to use plus this is one of my all time favorite TC collections!!

Thanks for stopping by today!! Have a safe and fun holiday!

Clear Scraps Halloween Banner

Hello and happy Monday! Halloween is just a few short days away! Today I'm up on the
Clear Scraps blog with a fun Halloween banner I created with the Large Banner and My Mind's Eye's Happy Haunting.

I created this skull using my Tim Holtz Mini Skull and Bat die with a sheet of 12x12 Acrylic (cut down to fit through my Vagabond).  I added Glimmer Glam in Chandelier from Tattered Angels to give it some shimmer.

And here is the bat:  I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze.

I cut a large doily from patterned paper from my Silhouette and layered it under a misted doily.  I then created a paper rosette with a Halloween brad in the middle.  I then added a Maya Road bingo piece and decorative pin.

On this pennant, I used the 3 and 1 from the Acrylic Alphabet and Numbers Set. I colored them with alcohol ink in Rust. Instead of using a foam applicator, I actually dripped it directly onto the acrylic.

Thanks for reading today....be sure to check out the Clear Scraps store to check out these banners and lots more!  Have a great day!
