Practical Scrappers August Sketch reveal

Today on Practical Scrappers, the very talented Liz Chidester has a fun sketch to play with this month!  

 

 

 

 

 

 

Here is my layout using Studio Calico's Atlantic papers (that I was lucky enough to get from a friend of mine!).  I love the blues and yellows in this line! As well as the star vellum!

 

 

Here, I added a little cute freebie cut file from Chic Tags! 

 

 

I also used this anchor cut file from the Silhouette shop then added a large decorative star pin from Maya Road. 

 

I just ordered these fun grey star clips from Freckled Fawn! I thought they went perfect with my layout!

I added sequins, wooden veneer triangles (Studio Calico), enamel dots (MME), and splashes of Mr. Huey spray ink around my title.  The smaller letters are from Lily Bee Design; the wooden letters are Thickers from American Crafts.

Practical Scrappers Two Page Layout

It's finally the weekend...unfortunately I've been sick in bed since Thursday night.  Feeling better today but still taking it easy.
Anyway, today on Practical Scrappers I have a two page layout to share.  It's funny that many of my early scrapbook layouts are "two-pagers" but now I struggle so much to make one!  It's neat to see how the trend changes. 

 

Anyway, I picked up the brand new "The Pier" collection from Crate Paper at
 The Scrapbooking Studio and couldn't wait to create with it! 

I used some photos from our recent trip to Key West. 

 

 

 

And here are the individual pages:

 

 

Using some of the cute die cuts from the Ephemera package. I also added an ampersand from Studio Calico.

 

 

Lots of journaling pieces with the ephemera....I used my typewriter too!  And loving the stitched pennants and well as gold sequins that are included too!!

 

Love the Slide Frames....three different sizes!! I added a die cut and a piece of sequins and stitched through. 

 

Also, included are numbers...perfect to accent my six toed cat photo!

 

I used the new Plastic letters for my title as well as mini letter stickers from Lily Bee.

 

I am hoping to get into my scrap room later...depends on if I feel better.  Enjoy your weekend!

 

 

Practical Scrappers March layout sketch reveal

Today on Practical Scrappers is the next layout sketch reveal by the very talented Liz Chidester! 

 

It's so fun working with her sketches! 

 

 

 

And here is my layout! I used Teresa Collins' He Said She Said line..I though it went perfect with the photos I wanted to use. 

 

 

I used cardstock letter stickers from Lily Bee and new wood grain Thickers from the American Crafts Amy Tangerine line Yes Please. 

 



 

Here I layered die cuts from thee 12x12 coordinating sheet as well as washi tape and a cute chevron stamp from My Mind's Eye. 

 I had to use my new stamp from Ali Edwards Technique Tuesday Super Fantastic Clear Stamp set!!

 

These chevrons are cut from the Silhouette. I also added some paint from Studio Calico Mr. Huey in Letter Jacket.

 

I cut these triangles from the Silhouette....the bottom one I covered with washi tape from Pebbles.

 

At the time, Noah was so obsessed with trains. We were waiting for the Labor Day parade to start and he wanted to walk down to the railroad crossing. He said to us" Aren't they beautiful?" LOL He even had to sit down on them.

Practical Scrappers March card sketch

Happy first day of Spring!  It doesn't feel like spring here in Central Illinois as its only supposed to get to a high of 30 today. I'm so over winter!! Bring on the flip flops and capris!
Ok, I'm done ranting!

Today on Practical Scrappers is the March card sketch reveal!  Here is the sketch:

I used Lily Bee Design's Persnickety paper for my card (one of my favorite lines!)

 

 

 

The stamped sentiment is from the Hero Arts "Its Your Day" Clear Stamp set and the jar is from Dear Lizzy's new Lucky Charm collection.  I also added some cute wooden veneer chevrons from Studio Calico.

 

 

I added some fun enamel dots left over from my stash of Teresa Collins' Memories line.

*New* Clear Scraps Butterfly Acrylic Border

Hello everyone! I'm back as promised with a new release from Clear Scraps!  Today I'm sharing one of the new Acrylic Borders! These are so fun to work with!

Here, I used the Butterfly border on my layout.  I first inked the border with alcohol ink and then covered it with Rock Candy Distress Stickles.

I love the effect the Distress Stickles created...it picked up the alcohol ink into the Stickles. 

I used Lily Bee Design's Persnickety line for my layout.  Lily Bee always has awesome patterns! And I love the tiny sticker letters!

For my title, I used the Lily Bee tiny sticker letters plus American Craft Thickers.  Underneath, I added a strip of patterned paper and the die cut pennants that come with the Persnickety collection. 

Keep checking back for more new projects!  I can't wait to go to the show in Anaheim and visit the Clear Scraps booth in person!  Just 10 more days!
