Clear Scraps + Clearsnap Promo: Happy

Hello! It's Friday and the end of our Clear Scraps and Clearsnap promotion! The nice people over at Clearsnap sent our design team some fun new Colorbox Surfacez inks!  Can I just say wow?!  I love how the colors pop on the acrylic surface!  

I used the Turquoise Surfacez on the edges of my Large Scallop Portrait Clipboard.  And its so easy to apply!  I actually used a foam applicator with the re-inkers (like applying alcohol ink).  It takes a bit more time to dry but I love the effects!

Using the Safari Surfacez, I colored my Clearly Accent Dress Form Embellishment to give it some "pop".   And I love how it turned out!

I used Maggie Holmes' Open Book collection from Crate Paper! I love all of the fun embellishments such as this chipboard banner! 

Surfacez can be used for stamping sentiments such as this one from Studio AE/Technique Tuesday.

December Daily with Clear Scraps

Today I am up on the Clear Scraps blog with my first ever (finished!) December Daily!  I have been a big fan of Ali Edwards and have always meant to do a DD. I've even started one. But, this is the first time I've actually finished! LOL I used Clear Scraps awesome 8x8 Tab Album. I really love working with Clear Scrap acrylic because it is sturdy and durable!  There is nothing out there on the market that stands up to Clear Scraps! 

 

 

For my paper and embellishments, I used Teresa Collins Designs' Santa's List collection...love the red, white, and black color combination!  For my cover, I love to load up and layer embellishments!  Santa's List comes with decorative and vellum bags, which I used here.  I also snagged a gold doily from a past Studio Calico kit.

 

 

I used the decorative number brads from Santa's List for my daily numbers. I also really love the chipboard that coordinates with the line!

 

 

Here I created a pocket for journaling with patterned paper and a vellum bag.  

 

I used a manila tag from Ranger, patterned paper, and washi tape to slide inside the pocket. The stamped sentiment is from Catslife Press.

 

 

This is a cute Silhouette file that I sprayed with red ink and adhered it to a sheet of vellum. I added some sequins behind and stitched it together. 

 

 

To create this fun effect, I used my Clear Scraps 6 inch Chicken Wire Mascil and Art Anthology's Dimensional  paint in Blizzard. 

 

Here is a close up...I love the hint of glitter in this paint!

 

In my book, I used the file folders from Santa's List. Here is the inside of one that I decorated with chipboard pennants.

Simple Stories' Urban Traveler layout + card

Hello and happy Thursday! It's almost the weekend!  Today I am sharing two projects I created for the design team at The Scrapbooking Studio.  This month, I used Simple Stories' Urban Traveler collection.  Simple Stories never fails to amaze me with their fun lines!  Urban Traveler is no exception! 

 

First up is a double layout I created (I've been trying to do more two pagers).  I used photos from our recent trip to Key West!

 

 

 

 

Here, I used a circle punch and layered different patterns as well as incorporating the cardstock and layered stickers.

 

Love the bright colors of this line!  Here, I used a sentiment/date stamp from American Crafts.

 

 

For my title, I used the cardstock letter stickers as well as these fun arrow stickers that come on a 12x12 coordinating sheet. I then stitched through a few times with my sewing machine.

 

More stitching! And I layered some pennants as well as a layered sticker. I secured them in place with my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher. 

 

Another circle of stitches at the bottom...I again added cardstock and layered stickers.



 

Next up is a card I created.  I first started with the ledger pattern as my background and adhered it to the red cardstock.

Here is a stamped sentiment from a limited edition Ali Edwards clear stamp set.  I also added the city skyline sticker from the Urban Traveler sticker sheet.

 

I created this banner with different size of scallop circles, as well as pennants and a cute airplane sticker tag. I added decorative brads as well as enamel dots to accent.

Studio Calico's Sundrifter layouts

Well it's finally starting to feel like spring around here.  Before long, it will be summer. My kids only have three weeks left of school!  Today I am sharing two layouts I created for the design team at

The Scrapbooking Studio using Studio Calico's Sundrifter collection.

 

For this first layout, I used different blocks of patterned paper and embellishments around my photo.

 

Showing the cute @ die cut, as well as word bubble. I added a wooden veneer geotag on the journaling spot.

 

 

Here, I used a stamp I received in last month's SC kit!  Then added some enamel dots from Basic Grey.

 

One of the journaling cards I cut out and stitched.

 

For this next layout, I used a Silhouette cut file adding different patterns in the starburst. 

 

 

Love the coordinating flair!!  I also added some of the chevrons from the 12x12 sticker sheet.

 

 

I created my title with some of the new American Craft Thickers.  Underneath, I used a stamp from Ali Edwards' Technique Tuesday Super Fantastic clear stamp set.

Practical Scrappers March layout sketch reveal

Today on Practical Scrappers is the next layout sketch reveal by the very talented Liz Chidester! 

 

It's so fun working with her sketches! 

 

 

 

And here is my layout! I used Teresa Collins' He Said She Said line..I though it went perfect with the photos I wanted to use. 

 

 

I used cardstock letter stickers from Lily Bee and new wood grain Thickers from the American Crafts Amy Tangerine line Yes Please. 

 



 

Here I layered die cuts from thee 12x12 coordinating sheet as well as washi tape and a cute chevron stamp from My Mind's Eye. 

 I had to use my new stamp from Ali Edwards Technique Tuesday Super Fantastic Clear Stamp set!!

 

These chevrons are cut from the Silhouette. I also added some paint from Studio Calico Mr. Huey in Letter Jacket.

 

I cut these triangles from the Silhouette....the bottom one I covered with washi tape from Pebbles.

 

At the time, Noah was so obsessed with trains. We were waiting for the Labor Day parade to start and he wanted to walk down to the railroad crossing. He said to us" Aren't they beautiful?" LOL He even had to sit down on them.
