Simple Stories' Urban Traveler layout + card

Hello and happy Thursday! It's almost the weekend!  Today I am sharing two projects I created for the design team at The Scrapbooking Studio.  This month, I used Simple Stories' Urban Traveler collection.  Simple Stories never fails to amaze me with their fun lines!  Urban Traveler is no exception!

First up is a double layout I created (I've been trying to do more two pagers).  I used photos from our recent trip to Key West!

Here, I used a circle punch and layered different patterns as well as incorporating the cardstock and layered stickers.

Love the bright colors of this line!  Here, I used a sentiment/date stamp from American Crafts.

For my title, I used the cardstock letter stickers as well as these fun arrow stickers that come on a 12x12 coordinating sheet. I then stitched through a few times with my sewing machine.

More stitching! And I layered some pennants as well as a layered sticker. I secured them in place with my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher.

Another circle of stitches at the bottom...I again added cardstock and layered stickers.

Next up is a card I created.  I first started with the ledger pattern as my background and adhered it to the red cardstock.

Another fun layered sticker!

Here is a stamped sentiment from a limited edition Ali Edwards clear stamp set.  I also added the city skyline sticker from the Urban Traveler sticker sheet.

I created this banner with different size of scallop circles, as well as pennants and a cute airplane sticker tag. I added decorative brads as well as enamel dots to accent.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope this inspires you to scrap some of your favorite vacation photos!

Practical Scrappers Two Page Layout

Hello and happy June!  Sorry for my absence...the flu didn't want to go away in our house. I finally Lysol-bombed everything.  I hope no more sickness here for a very long time.

Today on Practical Scrappers I have a two-page layout I created with Fancy Pants' Trendsetter collection.  I love the colors of this paper line, as well as the great embellishments!  Trendsetter was one of my favorite winter releases!

The collection has a package of fun ephemera including flashcards, flowers, and buttons.  I also love the mini frames as well!

I cut individual tags from on of the papers and added them along my photo. I also added a resin star that I received in my Studio Calico kit last month.

My title is done with American Craft Thickers and one of the flashcards. I also added a cute paper clip as well as fun cardstock stickers.

Close up of the mini frame...I added an arrow sticker and used a stamped sentiment from the Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm line.

One of the cool metal clips!

Here, I added some splashes of ink from Studio Calico and more resin stars.

I used my typewriter on one of the journaling spots that comes in the ephemera pack. I then added the cute "happy day" circle sticker.

Practical Scrappers Two Page Layout

It's finally the weekend...unfortunately I've been sick in bed since Thursday night.  Feeling better today but still taking it easy.
Anyway, today on Practical Scrappers I have a two page layout to share.  It's funny that many of my early scrapbook layouts are "two-pagers" but now I struggle so much to make one!  It's neat to see how the trend changes.

Anyway, I picked up the brand new "The Pier" collection from Crate Paper at
The Scrapbooking Studio and couldn't wait to create with it!
I used some photos from our recent trip to Key West.

And here are the individual pages:

Using some of the cute die cuts from the Ephemera package. I also added an ampersand from Studio Calico.

Lots of journaling pieces with the ephemera....I used my typewriter too!  And loving the stitched pennants and well as gold sequins that are included too!!

Love the Slide Frames....three different sizes!! I added a die cut and a piece of sequins and stitched through.

Also, included are numbers...perfect to accent my six toed cat photo!

I used the new Plastic letters for my title as well as mini letter stickers from Lily Bee.

I am hoping to get into my scrap room later...depends on if I feel better.  Enjoy your weekend!

Practical Scrappers Two-Page Layout

Today on Practical Scrappers designers, including myself, are sharing some fun two page layouts. I must admit, its been awhile since I've done a double layout!  The trend has been to do a single page...many times with one photo.  Very different than in the distant past where I tried to cram as many photos as possible onto a double layout.  LOL

For my project, I used Echo Park's Scoot collection. I love the bright colors and fun patterns!
In the upper left hand corner, I used my fun new Mr. Huey mask from Studio Calico and Dylusions Post Box Red.

For my title, I cut the "firefighter" with my Cameo Silhouette to create a negative image.  The red letters stickers are from Jillibean Soup; the blue are old school Making Memories. I still have a few in my stash! LOL  I added a wooden veneer arrow from Studio Calico.

Spring Fling

Hello! It's a rainy and cold day here in Bloomington. Very different than the humidity and temps in the 90's that we've been having.  I'm not complaining because we so need the rain! Our poor lawn has been scorched. Plus, this gives the kids and I an excuse to lay low in the house today. Hailey is still in her pj's in fact! LOL  I've also been able to escape downstairs to my scrap room for a bit as well.  :)

Since I always love sunshine and great weather, today I'm sharing a two page layout I did for The Scrapbooking Studio using Teresa Collins' Spring Fling line.  I am a HUGE fan of Teresa! I always love her lines!

I used this line to scrapbook pictures from a past Easter. I love the brightness of this line!

This line has many coordinating die cuts and buttons!

Here is a card I created using the same line:

And since we're getting ready for summer! (well I guess it's unofficially here)....I'm sharing a mini book I created using Little Yellow Bicycle's Paradise line.  As with all the LYB lines, Paradise has some great embellishments!  I always love the coordinating stick pins and stickers.

I also love the rosette/flower kits as well. Great way to embellish your pages!

Another great thing about this line is the stitched garland! Adorable!

Well, that's all for today! I'm going to head back downstairs to do some more creating. I also think a nap is in order! LOL Thanks for reading!
