Paper Camellia: #Go

Hello and happy Thursday! Today I'm sharing a layout I created with this month's Paper Camellia Add-On Kit!  I am loving the travel theme of July's kits as there are lots of goodies from Crate Paper, My Mind's Eye, and Pink Paislee!  Also, Ria included Evalicious' new release: "This Way".

I used one of the Crate Paper journaling cards to jot down about our day and added decorative brads from MME as well as epoxy shapes from Evalicious.

I used these adorable cork Evalicious puffy letters for my title as well as another brad from MME!

Thanks for stopping by! Check out the Paper Camellia shop for this kit plus lots more!  Have a great day!

Hello 2015: Paper Camellia January Kits

Happy Friday!  This week has flown by!  Looking forward to the weekend as we have a busy one!  My son has a basketball game and his Pinewood Derby in the morning. I also need to get in my training run for a 10k I'm doing the end of March. LOL  I feel blessed to have the busyness!

Today, I'm up on the Paper Camellia blog with a layout using the January Main and Add On Kits! I love love love the Exclusive Wood Veneer pieces that are included in the Main kit!  Seeing the 2015, I knew I wanted to do a layout about my goals for the year.

I paired the wooden veneer with one of the lovely gold word Thickers from Dear Lizzy's Serendipity line!

Here, I layered a few of the beautiful patterns with stickers from Webster's Pages Beautiful Chic as well as the fun mint ribbon!

I love my pennant hand punch....I adhered a couple at the top of my page and added a gold sentiment sticker from Serendipity.

"Throw Kindness Like Confetti"....love this so much!  I always try to approach everyone with kindness. We are all children of God and deserve respect and generosity.

I added some of the coordinating enamel dots from Serendipity around my journaling. Love the colors!!

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check out the Paper Camellia shop to see what's available...I know this month's kit is sold out!  Have a great day!

Paper Camellia January Kit: Happy Place

It's Thursday and almost the weekend!  I can't believe January is flying by so fast!  I hope wherever  you are, the weather is cooperating. We've been pretty lucky here in Central Illinois and have had mild temps and not much snow.

Today, I'm sharing a layout I created with this month's Paper Camellia Main and Add On Kits.  I can't say enough how much I love creating with Ria's kits!! She does a fabulous job of putting the right mixture of papers and embellishments together.  I'm always excited to open my kit each month. If you haven't yet, check out the current kits and think about subscribing!

I used the gold Word Thickers from the Main kit along with the Dear Lizzy Serendipity Thickers from the Add On for my title.

If you've been following my blog, you know I love to cluster embellishments together. Here, I used the die cuts and chipboard pieces from Serendipity, along with a "hello" sticker from Webster's Pages Beautiful Chic. You can spy some enamel dots as well that are also from Serendipity.

Another sentiment sticker from Webster's Pages.

I cut strips of different pieces of patterns and fanned them across the top of the page. I used my sewing machine to add stitching to each piece.

Hope this inspires you to do some creating this weekend!  Have a wonderful day!

Dress Up: Paper Camellia's January Add-On Kit

Well, another CHA is finished! I feel so very lucky to be able to attend the show to be with "my people".  LOL  I really love meeting other crafters and designers who share the same passion!  A big thank you to my husband for allowing me to go (and spend the money) and for the time away. Also thank you to Ria, owner of Paper Camellia, for getting me into the show as well as walking around with me!  I have so many photos to share!   Yesterday, I had the great opportunity of working in Teresa Collin's booth!!  It was a lot of fun and I'm so excited for her new releases!!

Today, I'm sharing a layout I created with this month's Paper Camellia Add-On Kit.  The papers are very girly so I wanted to use a photo of my daughter and her friend playing dress up when they were little.

I love the pink with the blues added in!  The Dear Lizzy Serendipity Thickers are so fun to use!  I also added some ephemera pieces also from Serendipity.

And how cute are these bows?  You receive an entire pack in the Add On Kit!  I also added a sentiment sticker from Webster Pages Beautiful Chic line .

I added in some sequins from my stash (they are Teresa Collins Designs)...I thought they went perfect with the paper!

A close up shot of some more of the ephemera from Serendipity as well as another cute sticker from Webster's Pages.

Thank you for stopping by today!  What have been your favorite releases from this show?
Have a great day!

Love This: Paper Camellia January Main Kit

Hello friends..happy Saturday! I hope you had a good New Years. My husband and I went out for some sushi and I was in bed by 10:30. LOL

Today, I'm sharing a layout I created using the Paper Camellia Main Kit for January.  I can tell you the colors are absolutely gorgeous!  I love the pinks and blues...so much fun color!

For my title, I used the Dear Lizzy Serendipity Gold Word Thickers and a cute arrow. They are so lovely!  You receive an entire pack in the kit which has two 6x12 sheets!

Also, included in the kit are the Serendipity 6x12 Phrase and Accent sticker sheets. I used a few of the pennants to create a little banner at the top of my photo. I also used a phrase from the Serendipity Letter and Phrase sheet...you have a selection of gold and white!

The sticker sheet also includes cute die cuts such as this pink camera!  Love it!

I love layering the different patterns.....including the gold vellum from Webster's Pages!  I also used one of the colored doilies from the kit!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Check out the selection of kits and add-ons at the Paper Camellia shop!  I promise you won't be disappointed! Have a great day!

Sketch N Scrap April Inspired by Sketch

Happy Saturday!  Today I am sharing this month's Sketch N Scrap Inspired by Sketch.  This sketch comes from resident sketch artist, Kelly Holifield!  I love the layers and little details!

I used Websters Pages' Sprinkled With Love by Alison Kreft. I love love this line...I literally stared at it all during the CHA show this past January. Websters Pages was right across from the Chic Tags booth and I was so drawn to this line.  I even went over to Alison Kreft and acted like a total fan girl geek telling her how much I love her work.  Ha ha!!

Love this hand drawn stars from the Silhouette shop!  And I added some of my new flair I just received from {a flair for buttons}!  I thought the colors went perfect!

I have been wanting to use my new AE Studio stamps from Technique Tuesday! This set is a newer release. I heart Ali Edwards!

Sprinkled With Love comes with cute little clips such as this light bulb! Adorable!

More hand drawn stars as well as dog flair!  :)

I added this wooden veneer star from Studio Calico's Print Shop collection. I love using them on my layouts although I'm trying to ration them (I even bought two packs!!)  Yes, I have a problem! LOL

Thanks for looking today!  Check out the Scrap N Sketch blog for more designer inspiration!
And coming next month isthe 2nd Birthday Bash! We will be having a month's worth of challenges..so be on the lookout!

Have a great day!!

Clear Scraps Ideas for Summer Crafting Blog Hop!

It's Day Three of the blog hop! Hope you've enjoyed hopping with our design team and that you've gotten many great ideas for your summer projects!

Today I am sharing a summer themed layout I created with the Circle Acrylic Border.  The Acrylic Borders are a fun addition to any project!

For my layout, I inked the border with Ranger alcohol ink in Pool, then cut apart.

At the top of my photo, I added a piece of the border as well as circles of patterned paper and flair from {a flair for buttons}.

Here, I used a larger circle from the border and covered it with patterned paper. I then lined the edges of the circle with white paint.

I placed the other half of the border around my title. Again, I added circles of patterned paper, as well as enamel dots from My Mind's Eye

Journaling and date sticker from the collection I used: Websters Pages Allison Kreft's Sweet Notes

Thanks for stopping by today!! And thank you for joining the blog hop!  Next, you will need to visit Angi's blog by going here
