Fabulous!

Ok, my title is not because I have some great news or anything. It has everything to do with the fun line I am sharing today by Simple Stories.  As part of the design team at The Scrapbooking Studio, I created this fun layout using the Fabulous line. Now having an almost 9 yr old girl, I love this paper. With the peace signs and great colors, it's perfect for Miss Hailey. She even picked some out for herself! I love love love all of Simple Stories' lines. Especially that they include a 12x12 cardstock sticker sheet to help embellish your projects.
For my layout, I used a fun photo block from one of those photobooths. My kids love them.  It's always great to look back and see how goofy they are, as well as how much they've grown.

I love the stickers that look like washi tape (which is one of my favorite new embellishments!)

Next, here is a card I made using the same line:

I also made a mini book using Fabulous.  I really love mini books, and especially like the Maya Road coaster albums. They are cute and fun to use! However, I have found that if you want to cover your chipboard with paper, it takes a lot of sanding of your edges.  Using Tim Holtz's sander, as well as the Basic Grey sanding tools are great!

For my mini album, I used a few of the photo strips that we've collected over the last couple of years. Like I said, my kids love the photo booths. Any time we see one, they usually beg to get their picture taken.

For the front of my album, I punched out the middle oval and heart, leaving a window to see through.  One my first page, I covered it with patterned paper, as well as used Picket Fence crackle paint on the chipboard heart.  Next, I sprayed a chipboard Maya Road number with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. Finally, the letter stickers are the new Jillibean Soup letter stickers.

Next, I am sharing a layout I did using one of Echo Park's new mini theme line, All Star. It is great for my son's Upward basketball photos!

Well, that's all for now! I am currently working on some great projects for the store. Can't wait to share them! :)
