Clear Scraps: This is Halloween Clipboard

This week I had a Halloween themed clipboard up on the Clear Scraps blog!  I love the clipboards! They are one of my many favorite products from Clear Scraps!  I used the Large Regular Landscape Clipboard with Authentique's Moonlit collection.   I used my clipboard as a way to showcase a favorite photo. I layered my papers onto the clipboard and added my embellishments!

I used of of the Bat Chipboard Embellishments to accent my title. I painted him with black acrylic paint and added enamel dots as eyes.   My title is from the Silhouette shop designed by Sweet Afton (file ##153979).

The collection I used has coordinating stickers which I layered around my photo. I popped up the cute tag with foam dots and added bakers twine to accent.
Using black alcohol ink, I lightly applied it around the edges of my clipboard to add some depth.

Lastly, I used a hand punch to create a little banner at the top of my page as well as added Halloween ribbon to the clip.

Thanks for reading! Check out all of the different sizes and shapes of clipboard in the Clear Scraps shop!
Have a great day!

Simple Stories Happy Haunting Layouts

This month I have layouts up on the Simple Stories' blog using the Simple Set Happy Haunting!  The kit includes three two-sided papers along with a 6x12 coordinating Sticker Sheet!

For my first layout, I used the woodgrain print as my background. I then used pieces of the Journaling Card sheet to layer under and around my photo.  How cute is the "spook" bingo card?  I have to say I love the black/white/orange/grey plaid print!

I added the small star and bat stickers as well as wooden veneer stars and enamel dots from my stash.

This cute spider web and spiders are included on the sticker sheet! What an adorable accent!

I created a small tag with a hand punch from one of the journaling cards and added black and white ribbon.

For my second layout, I wanted to do a grid to show off some of the different prints.  I used a cut file from The Cut Shoppe with black cardstock.  I then cut squares of each pattern to fit random spots.

I used one of the Simple Stories cut files from the Silhouette shop as my title.  I lightly misted my white cardstock with gold glitter spray.

Showing some of the cute coordinating stickers! I love the little ghost!

Thanks for stopping by today! Check out this collection plus many more of the new releases on the Simple Stories' Product page!  Have a great day!

Clear Scraps: Keep Calm and Costume On

This week on the Clear Scraps blog I had a layout up using the new Spider Web Chipboard Embellishment!   I love the new chipboard goodies...they are so fun to play with!  I also used Crate Paper's After Dark collection for my page.

I colored my chipboard first using black acrylic paint.

Once the paint dried, I applied Distress Crackle Paint in Picket Fence.  After allowing the Crackle Paint to dry, I used a sanding block to go over the edges was well as random spots on the top of the web (allowing the black paint to show through).  I decided that it needed a little more color so I did lightly spray the chipboard with Distress Stain Spray in Marmalade.

Here is the finished result! I backed each "ray" with different patterns from After Dark!

Showing some of the coordinating stickers as well as enamel dots from After Dark.  I also added some sequins from my stash!

Thanks for stopping by! Do you have any fun plans for Halloween?  It's supposed to rain here all day :(  So not sure if we will get many trick or treaters!
Have a great night!

Hello! Today on The Cut Shoppe blog I have a layout up using some new Halloween cut files! This is one of my absolute favorite times of the year!  Needless to say, I love scrapping about Halloween and fall!  I used Crate Paper's After Dark collection for my page.

For my background, I used the super cute Wacky Web cut file!

For my title, I used the "Trick or Treat" from Wicked Fun, as well as the star/circle border.

I added a cute web flair from {a flair for buttons}...I thought it went perfect with the paper!

Chic Tags Exclusive Halloween Kit: Pocket Pages

Hello friends!  Today, I'm sharing a Project Life spread I did for Chic Tags using the Halloween Exclusive Kit!  Halloween may be over but its never too late to document your photos and memorabilia from this year!

I used last year's Halloween line from American Crafts to accent the Chic Tags goodies!  I used my small star Fiskars punch to create this fun border. I then stitched through the stars with my sewing machine!

Showing one of the journaling cards, as well as the cute cork "October" embellishment.

Another exclusive cork embellishment...and more stars! I made a small cluster of them and stitched through.

For my title card, I used American Craft Thickers. In the upper right top, you can see another cork embellishment: a "fun times" pennant!

The Halloween Exclusives also include flair buttons! Loving this "trick or treat" flair!

I used the acetate numbers (which have a wood grain background) in one of the pockets. I decided to let them "stand alone" and stitched through.

Ha ha...my spider pug Max!  He tolerates me dressing him up! I used a Happy Place Phrase tag for journaling and another exclusive flair!

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to check out the Chic Tags Exclusives as well as the new Christmas Cheer Kit!
