The Cut Shoppe and Citrus Twist Kits Blog Hop

Hello and thank you for following our fun blog hop today! I hope you are getting a lot of great inspiration!  Thank you so much to Trina at Citrus Twist Kits for allowing me to play with this month's kit! There are so many beautiful pieces!  Also, Ashley designed a fun cut file set from
The Cut Shoppe as well!

Remember to comment on each participant's blog for a chance to win a $20 Gift Card...both The Cut Shoppe and Citrus Twist Kits are doing a giveaway!

Here is the blog list if you are following along:

And here is my layout! I based my page on a sketch by Citrus Twist Kits...you can click here to see the blog post.

And here is the FREE cut file available during the hop! I absolutely love the geometric butterfly!

I started by cutting the geometric shapes into my white card stock background. I then cut the entire butterfly with the Pink Paislee Fancy Free #08 print. I also back my card stock with the multicolored Fancy Free #06 page.

I love the little pieces of embellishments included in the kit!  You receive a full pack of ephemera from Fancy Free as well as Citrus Twist exclusives such as cork pieces and clear stamps!

I used some of the sequins and cork hearts to embellish the butterfly to add more color!

For my title, I used one of the Fancy Free Glitter Word Thickers!  I then added my journaling underneath.

Thanks again for stopping by!  Now onto Brenda's blog!  Have a great day!

The Cut Shoppe: Love Is Everything

I'm so sorry its been so long since I've posted!  Honestly, I've been in a bit of a funk and have had a lot of issues going on here at home.  I am going to try to update more often.

Today I'm sharing a layout I created for The Cut Shoppe's NSD celebration! There is a a free cut file available for download on their Facebook page!

I used the concentric circles with white card stock and backed with a multi colored print from Simple Stories' You Are Here.

I also cut my title with white card stock and lightly misted with blue spray ink. This is one of my favorite techniques to use with my cut files!

Thanks for looking! Hope you are having a good day!

The Cut Shoppe: Boys Rule

Today on The Cut Shoppe blog, I have a layout using the new Boys Rule cut file set! This is one of my favorites so far! I love the fun shapes and titles..how cute are the arrows?   I always appreciate a fun boy collection and the stars pair well with Shimelle's new Starshine collection.

Using white cardstock for my outline, I used the "Boys Rule" title from the set.  I filled in the letters with an orange/white chevron print from Starshine.

I used the star/circle shapes as well as the nested stars in different sizes and prints to layer under my title and photo.  I accented with chipboard accents from Starshine as well as epoxy shapes from Evalicious.

Here, I used die cuts and stickers from Starshine as well as a cute Metal Clip.

Thank you for stopping by! Check out the Etsy shop for this cut file set plus much more!
Have a great day!

The Cut Shoppe: Love This

Today on The Cut Shoppe blog I have a layout using the new Feel The Love cut file! I instantly fell in love with this pie chart shape and couldn't wait to use it! I used white cardstock for the cut file and adhered it to pink ombre print from Crate Paper's Hello Love.

I thought using a black title would pop against the pinks and blues of the collection I used. For my title, I used the "love this" from the Love Letters cut file.

I adhered different patterns into each pie section. For this piece, I added my typed journaling strips.

Thank you for stopping by! Be sure to check out these files along with much more at The Cut Shoppe!

The Cut Shoppe: Love

Today on The Cut Shoppe blog, I have a layout using some of the fun new cut files!  I fell in love with the 12x12 X to the O background cut file!  I used an ombre pattern from Bella Blvd's Valentina collection. I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out but I love how it looks!

I used the Kitchy Cursive Alphabet Cut File for my title as well as added coordinating stickers and sequins.

A close up of the ombre pattern with the cut file!

I have a pretty large stash of sequins from my Teresa Collins Designs collections and I love adding them to layouts!  I also used a cut out wood veneer heart from Freckled Fawn!

Showing more of the coordinating stickers from Valentina....for more shine, I used a gold photo clip by Studio Calico.

Thank you for stopping by tonight!  Check out all of the fun files at The Cut Shoppe on Etsy!  Have a wonderful night!
