Clear Scraps: This is Halloween Clipboard

This week I had a Halloween themed clipboard up on the Clear Scraps blog!  I love the clipboards! They are one of my many favorite products from Clear Scraps!  I used the Large Regular Landscape Clipboard with Authentique's Moonlit collection.   I used my clipboard as a way to showcase a favorite photo. I layered my papers onto the clipboard and added my embellishments!

I used of of the Bat Chipboard Embellishments to accent my title. I painted him with black acrylic paint and added enamel dots as eyes.   My title is from the Silhouette shop designed by Sweet Afton (file ##153979).

The collection I used has coordinating stickers which I layered around my photo. I popped up the cute tag with foam dots and added bakers twine to accent.
Using black alcohol ink, I lightly applied it around the edges of my clipboard to add some depth.

Lastly, I used a hand punch to create a little banner at the top of my page as well as added Halloween ribbon to the clip.

Thanks for reading! Check out all of the different sizes and shapes of clipboard in the Clear Scraps shop!
Have a great day!

Paper Secrets August 1st Sketch

Hello friends...happy Sunday to you. Hope your day is off to a good start! I'm sitting at church waiting for my kiddos. They both serve during even months and then attend 3rd hour church.  So, this gives me time to get caught up on some blogging!
Today I am sharing a layout I created using the Paper Secrets' August 1st sketch. This sketch's challenge word is SWIM

For my layout, I used Authentique's Suave collection.  My challenge word items are S: stars, stamp  W: white, washi, I: ink  M: mist (on ink resistant stars).

I've had these fun ink-resistant stars from Pink Paislee in my stash for awhile and I thought they would be fun to use on my page.  I lightly misted this one with Heidi Swapp's Color Shine in Gold.

More stars, plus enamel dots and shapes from Basic Grey.

Of course I had to add some of my pug flair from Panda Eight Designs!  I adhered a wooden veneer starburst shape from Studio Calico around my flair.

Showing the washi tape, plus date stamp I used.....

Thanks for stopping by today! You have until the end of the month to link up your own layout to the Paper Secrets' blog for a chance to win a GC to the shop!
Have a great day!

Hello friend and happy Saturday! Today, I'm sharing a layout I created for Paper Secrets using the July 15th sketch by Kelly Holifield!  This sketch's challenge word is TRAVEL!

For my layout, I used Authentique's Abroad from the Paper Secrets shop.  My challenge word items are T: tape R: red A: Authentique V: vellum E: enamel dots L: letters.  Many years ago,  my husband and I went to Paris to run the marathon. I took a disposable camera with me and took pics along the course.  Oh to be young and thin again *sigh*

My title is made up of American Craft Thickers from two different sets.  The newsprint ones are pretty old! LOL

Here, I added a couple of the coordinating stickers from Abroad:

Anyone recognize this date stamp? If so you've been scrapping awhile...yes, its Heidi Swapp's date stamp from around 2007ish?  :)

More Abroad stickers with some cute red/white washi tape from Freckled Fawn too!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to link up your own layout to the Paper Secrets blog for a chance to win a shop GC!

Paper Secrets March 15th Sketch Reveal

Happy Saturday everyone! It's finally the weekend!  And it looks like spring is trying to start here in Central Illinois. I'm ready!

Today on Paper Secrets is another fun sketch by Kelly Holifield!  The challenge word for this sketch is LUCKY.

And here is my layout! I used Authentique's Be{you}tiful line from the Paper Secrets Shop.
For the challenge word I used:  L: lined paper  U: upcyle (I made my flowers from old book pages)  C:  cork arrows/corrugated shape  K: kraft cardstock  Y: yellow

I used a flower punch on old book pages and layered them together. From my stash, I used some decorative brads in the center.

My title is a cut file from Karla Dudley at the Silhouette shop (#8709).
and white cardstock.  I wrapped grey/white bakers twine from Whisker Graphics
 around my photo, as well.

Here, I layered a few of the coordinating die cut pieces under my photo. I then added a few tiny butterflies (made with a punch).  I then added an "H" for Hailey :)

I picked these new American Crafts DIY cork arrows this past weekend at Hannah's in Antioch, IL!  Love!!  This fulfilled my "C"!

From Jillibean Soup, I stapled a corrugated girl shape as another "C"

My pennants were made with patterned paper and a hand punch (I have collected LOTS over the years!).  I stitched through the top with my sewing machine.

Thanks for stopping by...you can link up your own layout at Paper Secrets for a chance to win a $10 gift card to the store. You have until the end of the month to enter!
Have a great weekend!

For my layout, I used Authentique's new Abroad line. And my challenge word letters are S-stencil P-pin R-ribbon I-ink N-numbers G-glassine.

I used a small glassine envelope behind my photo and added a decorative pin from Little Yellow Bicycle. The ribbon is May Arts and the wooden veneer geo tag is from Studio Calico.

I used black letter stickers from Jillibean Soup on one of the coordinating stickers and then stitched through with my sewing machine.

I used more of the coordinating Abroad stickers, as well as a button from my stash and wooden veneer chevron.  The letter stickers are American Craft Thickers.

I used bakers twine from Whisker Graphics around my center photo...I "popped" it up with foam circles, as well.

I used my Clear Scraps 6 Inch Chicken Wire Mascil and red Maya Road Mist as a background, as well as to give a pop of red.
