My Scraps and More: 5

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a layout I created for a Word Up Wednesday challenge at
My Scraps and More!  I used the new Dear Lizzy Fine and Dandy collection I purchased from the MSAM store. I love the bright colors and birthday themed embellishments!

I used the gold foil "5" from the Ephemera pack along with the cute sentiment tag!

Showing some of the chipboard accents! I love the candles!  I also added in buttons from my stash, as well as hand punched circles.  The Gold Foil Accent Stickers went perfect with the circles in the patterned paper and chipboard accents!

Thanks for stopping by!  Check out the MSAM store for this and many more collections!  Have a great day!

Paper Camellia: Just Plain Cute

Hello! I'm sorry for my absence! . We've been without wifi for over a week. And I haven't been feeling that great. I went to the doctor yesterday and had some tests done. I suspect I have Epstein Barr again.  Last year, I was sick for over six months. I really don't want to go down this road again.  Any prayers would be appreciated.

Anyway, I have a layout up on the Paper Camellia blog today using this month's Main and Add On Kits.  You can see a full description by visiting the blog.

Hope you are having a lovely Friday!

Clear Scraps: Mother's Day layout

Hello! Happy Thursday to you! Hope your week is going well! Today on Clear Scraps, I have a layout and tutorial up on the blog!  I used the new Chevron Border Mascil and the Banner Mixer for my page.  I incorporated gold accents into my layout...let me show you how!

Securing the Border Mascil with washi tape, I lightly sprayed with Gold Color Shine from Heidi Swapp. I used a paper towel to dab my page before lifting the Mascil.  I found this helps any errant drips from ruining my effect.

And here is how it turned out! I used two different patterned papers and adhered them to the side of my page allowing the gold to show.

I never seem to use up all of the rub ons in a collection.  I had the idea of cutting the rub ons into smaller sections and placing over my Banner Mixer.

This is a great way to add accent to your acrylic!  I found too that if the edges aren't quite perfect you can smooth with your finger or lightly sand with a sanding tool.  :)

More photos of my page! I used Maggie Holmes' Styleboard: a collection I have been hoarding!

I layered pieces of the ephemera as well as added enamel dots from Crate Paper and Teresa Collins Designs.

If you are celebrating Mother's Day this weekend, I wish you a happy one!  Whether or not you are a mom, I challenge you to take photos of yourself this week!  I am guilty of being the photographer and not getting in front of the camera!  As women, we are too self critical.  Even as I  look at this photo of myself from 6 years ago,  I remember not liking the way I looked.   At the time, my own mother was in the hospital fighting for her life against cancer. It made me realize that I needed to be photographed with my kids. I needed to cherish every day.  Now with my mom gone, I absolutely TREASURE photos of us together.  I regret not taking more. So, please document yourself!
 Have a great day!

Paper Camellia: Hello Joy

I love Tuesdays...its my day to get things done whether its housework, errands, or sit in my scrap room.  I was able to do a bit of each but did get a lot of DT work done!

Today on the Paper Camellia blog I have a layout up using this month's Main and Add On Kits. I love the colors of the papers....Ria always does a fabulous job putting the kits together! May is no exception!  For my background, I used the All Heart cut file from The Cut Shoppe and adhered strips of patterned papers behind.  I love how it turned out!

I used one of the wooden veneer words and the Mint letter stickers from Elle's Studio's Cienna collection (both found in the main kit).  From the add on kit, you receive a full pack of the Amy Tangerine Rise and Shine clear stickers. I added a cute arrow to my title, as well as some enamel dots from My Mind's Eye's On Trend.

I cut a snippet out of the Elle's Studio "You Are" paper from the Add On it to accent my photo. I also added a bit of the mulitcolored washi tape from Rise and Shine, as well as a gold triangle enamel shape from MME.

Loving the clear fuchsia camera from Rise and Shine!  I paired it with another wood veneer shape from Elle's Studio.

You receive an assortment of the wood veneer shapes in the Main Kit! Love the variety! There is always many embellishments to choose from in the PC Kits!

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to check out this month's kits at the Paper Camellia shop!
Have a great night!
