Authentique's Glory

I know 4th of July seems like eons ago, but hey..it's still summer right?   As part of my assignment for The Scrapbooking Studio's design team, I created a few projects with probably my all time favorite 4th of July themed collection!
First off, for this mini book, I used a Maya Road canvas pennant book and Authentique's Glory line.  I am in love with the vintage feel of this collection; from the fun patterns to the coordinating cardstock stickers.

I first misted the cover of my book with Dylusions Postbox Red, then lightly sprayed the inside pages.

For the front of the book, I used my Tim Holtz rosette die to create a fun embellishment. I topped it off with one of the cardstock stickers, as well as a Maya Road star pin.

I love the Maya Road denim pleated trim..I think it goes great with this line!

I used one of my new stamps from Technique Tuesday!

Another new Technique Tuesday stamp set....Studio AE! I love Ali Edwards!

Next, I created this one page layout using the same collection.  For my letters, I used the American Crafts DYI Thickers .  Each letter has an adhesive cover that you peel away and then add your glitter, tinsel or microbeads.

Tying in a metal trinket from Teresa Collins' Everyday Moments collection. It's nice when you can use embellishments from other lines!

Here, I created a flower out of the Maya Road denim pleated trim. In the center, I added some flair from a flair for buttons.

Here is a close up of the DIY thickers. I don't know if it was operator error, but I was a little disappointed on how well the glitter covered my letters.  I guess I will have to try them again!

Lastly, here is a fun 4th of July card I made with Glory.  For my star cutout, I simply used my Cricut and then used a large circle punch. I punched a second circle out and that's where I adhered my buttons.

I used foam tape underneath the free edges of the top circle to adhere both circles together.

Well, that's all I have to share for now! Hopefully, this will give you some inspiration to get those 4th of July pictures scrapbooked! Until next time, thanks for reading! :)
