OA Summertime: Summer Checklist 2015

Hello! I'm back again because I have my last guest post on the October Afternoon blog today! It's been a fun month creating with OA's wonderful products!

I used a Daily Flash album to create my family's must do list for the summer!  I love the bright colors of Summertime as well as the fun theme embellishments like this pink flamingo!  I decided to keep the front of my album simple by adding a few patterned papers as well as Daily Flash Alphas and Summertime Date Stickers. I finished by adding a doily and bakers twine from my stash!

I love the Grey Flannel Chipboard Alphas!  I have a huge collection of different colors!

Each Daily Flash Album come with a variety of different configurations of pockets. I love the smaller  squares such as the 2x2's!

Here, I used one of the Summertime Memory Cards for my journaling! I added a Date Sticker as well  as one of the coordinating Double Take stickers.  Also in the collection is a new Catch Phrase roller stamp with twelve fun sayings to choose from!

I love the light string sticker from the Double Take sheet!  I also used Orange Alpha Stickers for my #2 on the list!  The photo of our dog, Max, "helping" my husband grill cracks me up!  :)

I love the page of just 2x2 squares! I cut different patterns as well as used a piece from the
"Green Grass"  sheet (which is nothing but 2x2's with cute sayings and pictures!).

The A side of "Blue Skies" has multi-sized journaling cards such as this 4x4 sentiment! You can also add in Memory Cards as well!

Thanks for stopping by today! What is your favorite summer activity? Have a great day!

Scrapping Our Stash June Blog Hop

Hello! It's the last Friday of the month and that means another "Scrapping Our Stash" blog hop!  I hope you'll visit everyone on the list!

Jennifer Haggerty http://livethemoment-jen.blogspot.com/ *you are here!*
Wendy Bergeron Coffman http://stampingrules.com

For my page, I used up most of my remaining stash of Teresa Collins Urban Market collection!  I love love love this line! The navy blue with silver and grey are stunning!!  I scrapped a cute photo of my nephew, Deacon!  I layered up lots of patterns as well as a photo overlay under my picture!

I had cut out these fun feathers from Silhouette on silver foil paper for another project but decided to not use them.  So, I thought they would look great to accent the silver and navy!  I added a cute "happy" Chipboard Sticker as well.

I cut off the bottom portion of one of the Urban Market Tags and had it peek out from under my photo. I also used one of Teresa's Signature Essential Silver Enamel Dots, as well as a coordinating card stock sticker.  One of my favorite wooden veneer shapes are these stars from Studio Calico!  I love using them on my pages!

Here I created a cluster of embellishments using the Decorative Brads, Enamel Dots, Decorative Tape, and Cardstock Sticker from Urban Market.  The chipboard letter is from the Pink Paislee Atlas Thickers in silver.

At the top of my photo, I added more chipboard and stickers, as well as another cute wooden veneer star! I love to layer things if you can't tell! LOL

Thanks for stopping by! I'm doing a giveaway of some Teresa Collins goodies today! Just be a follower of my blog and tell me what your current favorite collection to use (it can be new or old)!  I will choose a random winner Tuesday June 30th!
Have a great day!

My Scraps and More: 8

Hello and happy weekend! Today I'm sharing a layout I created this week for a challenge at My Scraps and More. If you haven't joined the forums, be sure to check out the daily challenges!
For my page, I used Crate Paper's Maggie Holmes' Confetti collection. I love Crate Paper and their papers never disappoint!  It's geared towards birthdays but can be used to scrap pretty much any theme! I chose this beautiful photo of my niece!

The collection has two 6 x 12 sticker sheets with many shapes and letters! I chose these cute pennants to place under my photo.   I love the gold accents! And you can spy some of the specialty gold foil vellum underneath, as well!

For my title, I used one of the chipboard numbers from the Chipboard Accents sheet.

I love all of ephemera pieces that come with the collection! Here, I used a ticket along with a doily from my stash!

More ephemera pieces! I layered a kraft tag with a "love" circle sticker, as well as added a gold glitter star and a gold paper clip (from my stash).

I am a fan of ledger paper so I used the B side of "Centerpiece"...it has just enough color without being overbearing! At the side of my page, I added more stickers as well as a stamped sentiment from one of my AC roller stamps.  To finish, I used Tattered Angels and Color Shine splatters on my background, as well as added some Teresa Collins sequins!

This week is the official start to summer! Today I'm sharing a layout I created for Paper Camellia using the June Main Kit. It's full of beautiful papers and summer themed embellishments including Pink Paislee's Citrus Bliss! I scrapped an old photo of my daughter swimming in a baby pool. I miss her being so little!

You will have to forgive me as my old computer crashed and I lost the rest of the photos!  But you can go to the post on the PC blog to see the rest! Don't forget to check out this month's kit and Exclusive PC wood and acrylic pieces!

Clear Scraps and Ruby Rock It Hop

This week Clear Scraps is teaming up with Ruby Rock It! They were nice to send our team a large selection of papers and embellishments!  I created a little home decor piece using the 3.5 x 5 Clear Box along with the Clearly Accent Bird and Cage Embellishments!  I used Ranger Alcohol ink to color my bird and cage.  I also added chipboard pieces from Ruby Rock It Nostalgia, as well as a cute pin from Jillibean Soup.

Here is my project in full view.  I covered the sides with patterned paper from the Nostalgia collection.

I created a mini album to fit inside the Clear Box!  I decided to do a sort of ATC type of book to use some of my supplies.

Be sure to check out the Clear Scraps and Ruby Rock It blogs for lots of inspiration this week! Have a great day!

Simple Stories: Splash!

Hello!  Happy Sunday! I got to sleep in today and went to late church service.  It's been an overall good day!  Yesterday on the My Scraps and More blog I had a layout up using the new
Simple Stories' Summer Vibes collection! I love the warm colors of this line...and the summery embellishments are perfect!

I love these silver and white American Craft Thickers! I thought they were the perfect touch to add some sparkle to my page! The stamped sentiment is a favorite from Studio AE (Technique Tuesday). I am a big fan of Ali's stamps!

Included in the embellishments are an assortment of chipboard frames!  I used a few on my page, including this one which I added some of the ephemera pieces.

I'm so glad Simple Stories brought out these self adhesive brads!!  The ones in this collection are so cute!!

Thanks for stopping by and looking! Check out the My Scraps and More store for this collection! Audrey is restocking all of the fun embellishments!  You can use code 20June15 for 20% off regular priced items!! Have a wonderful night!

October Afternoon Guest Design Spot: Treasure Map

I'm so far behind on my blogging!  Have had some computer issues with my laptop but I purchased a new one today so hopefully I will get back on schedule!  I'm still trying to recover from this dumb virus too...leaves me with little energy.

This month I'm so excited to be guest designing at October Afternoon!  I have loved their products since they started...I still have some of the "original" stamp sets! LOL  Today, I am sharing a layout I created with the very fun Treasure Map collection! The nautical/pirate theme is great for travel or cute boy photos!  When I saw this line, I knew right away I wanted to scrap these adorable photos of my nephew, Deacon. My BIL is a huge Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan and Deacon always gets into the spirit of football!  He's even stepping on a teddy bear since the Bucs were playing the Chicago Bears that day! LOL

OA never disappoints with the variety of embellishments in their collections!  Treasure Map includes a 12x12 cardstock sticker sheet full of cute shapes! I used this journaling spot to jot down a little about my photos. I also added two circles from the Sew Fun Banner sheet!

Speaking of Sew Fun Banners, here is a peek of a few that come with the collection. I am a big fan of these as 1) I love to sew on my pages and 2) I love pennants and banners!

I added both pennants and circles from the Sew Fun Banners at the top of my layout. Then, of course, I added some stitching.

I also used two more pennants under my photo as well as added a cute sticker!

I'm also a big fan of the Tin Pins and Doo-Dads as well as the Mini Market Alphas!   They make great accents to tuck under or on top of your photos to create some fun layers!

I used the cute Anchor Tin Pin on top of some patterned paper and Border Stickers...again with stitching!

Thanks for looking! Check back on the OA blog next Friday for more of my projects!  Have a great day!
