Yesterday also was the five year anniversary of my mom's passing. This year seemed a little easier, but I think being away really helped.  Honestly, I don't think I'll ever fully heal from losing my mom. But, I have comfort in knowing I will see her again one day.

The Chic Tags Creative Team was certainly inspired by the fun Some Odd Girl stamps they received, and we think you're going to like what's in store.



I received the very cute Everyday Smiles stamp set from Some Odd Girl to play with! The sentiments are great for everyday layouts or cards!

 

I layered one of the Cloud 9 journaling cards with a Mini Icon and sticker label to accent my photo. I finished by adding this cute little wood veneer cloud! 

 The Cloud 9 2x2 cards are perfect to add journaling. I added a stamped chevron from Everyday Smiles, as well as a wood veneer butterfly from Cloud 9.

 I used the "you make me happy" sentiment from the set as my title!  I added a few wood veneer sequins to accent.

 Using my pennant hand punch, I layered a few of the patterned papers and vellum together and added a gold label.  Next, I added one of the cute Cloud 9 flair buttons!

 I stamped the "smile" sentiment in Pebble from Ranger Ink, followed by doing some "messy" stamping with the chevron with Archival Black Ink.

Paper Secrets June 15th Sketch Reveal

 This week Paper Secrets revealed another awesome sketch to play with!  Kelly is so talented and I love her creativity!  This sketch's challenge word is GRADS. 

 

 

 

And for my layout I used shop item Jillibean Soup's Sightseeing Stew.  For my challenge word, I used G: grid paper, R: red  A: arrows  D:  doily  S:  stickers

 

 

 

I love the colors of this line...I've always been a fan of Jillibean Soup!  Here, I added one of the die cut cameras and "popped" it up with foam tape. 

 

 

 

For my title, I used Studio Calico's gold foil letter stickers ( something from my Paper Camellia June kit!)  

 

 

I added a few of the coordinating stickers, as well as added wood veneer stars from Studio Calico. The arrow is another goody from my Paper Camellia kit:  metal shapes from MME's Necessities line. 

 

 

Again, I added star stickers, as well as a sticker tag for journaling.

 

 



 

Here, I used arrows from both the sticker and die cut sheet for my "A".

Chic Tags' Cloud 9: Play + giveaway!

Hello...it's finally Friday! It seems like this week has flown by with the kids' activities and what not.  I did get a chance to scrap in my room this week and it was heavenly!  I'm in the process of redoing my room so its pretty unorganized. But, the painting is done and my cabinets will be arriving sometime after the 4th of July! 

 

Today on the Chic Tags blog, I have a layout up with the beautiful Cloud 9 collection.  I love this line with its bright colors and fun patterns! I find you can use it for pretty much any theme.  I chose a cute pic of my 2 1/2 year old nephew that I took this spring.  I love scrapping photos of him and my niece...and I know my sister appreciates it too! (I'm the only scrapper in my family!).

 

 

 

I am in love with these Cloud 9 Gold Journal cards!  They literally just came in the mail this week!  The gold foil on white is GORGEOUS!  I paired one with a Cloud 9 Acetate Tidbit.  I did my journaling on one of the cute little 2x2 Cloud 9 Cards...perfect size to slide under a photo. 

 

Here is another shot of the Acetate Tidbit along with a cute wood veneer sun from the "Bloom" package. I also added a gold and Cloud 9 label stickers as well.  

For my title, I got out my Good Tidings Gold letter stickers (from the CHA 2013 Summer release).  Love that I can use them on so many projects. I also added a  Cloud 9 Mini Icon and the very popular wood veneer sequins. 

 

Chic Tags always has cute Photo Clips in their collections....Cloud 9 is no exception.  I think they are a great accent to add to your pictures!  I always love adding a staple in too..just for something extra!

 

Just a close up of the patterned papers I used at the top....which are machine stitched. I also added another Gold Label Sticker.

Sketch N Scrap #59 Sketch Reveal

Hello! Today I am sharing my last layout for the Sketch N Scrap design team! I have served two 6 month terms with this wonderful team!  Thank you so much to Lisa and Kelly for allowing me to be a part of the SNS family!  I have loved working with their sketches!

And here is my sketch....I used Simple Stories' Homespun collection along with family photos taken by Amy Coon Photography!   

 

 

 For my title, I used some old Pebbles Corrugated Letter Stickers I had in my stash. 

Using some of the ephemera and stickers that come with the Homespun collection.

Love This Life: Teresa Collins Designs' Urban Market

Hello! TGIF!  We are in the full rush of summer...my kids have been busy with activities and I have been driving them around a lot. I'm ready to have some downtime soon! 

 

Today, I am sharing a layout I created with Teresa Collins Designs'  Urban Market collection.  I really love this line with the gorgeous blues, grays, and silver glitter accents.

 

 

I used Teresa's modeling paste and chevron stencil from her Basically Essential line.  The modeling paste goes on so smooth and is very easy to use!  It gives a lot of texture to your projects! 

 

 Here is a close up of the modeling paste after it dries! You can also add color by using spray ink or chalk...I've even used glitter! 

 

I used one of the vellum envelopes from Teresa's media kit and embossed it with the TC/Craftwell "Beautiful Words" folder.  

I embellished my page with elements from the Urban Market Buttons pack. I love that there are both regular and chipboard buttons! Plus my favorite: pennants!  

 

The Teresa Collins Xyron Mega Runner is wonderful for cutting down time on your projects...I have found just a few swipes of adhesive is all it takes. The hold is amazing!

 

I created my title with the Silhouette and white cardstock.  I added in some more buttons to accent.

Sketch N Scrap June Inspired By Layout

Today on the Sketch N Scrap blog, there is a new Inspired By sketch to play with!  This sketch is designed by co-owner, Kelly Holifield and was inspired by senior designer, Kerry Bruce!

 

 And here is my layout...I had been wanting to use my Crate Paper Oh Darling collection I had bought back in March!  I am a big fan of Crate Paper...love the little embellishments. 

 

 

Some of the pieces from the ephemera pack: 

 

 

I placed a journaling card and photo frame from the ephemera pack under my title. I used the Silhouette cut file #33609  from Lori Whitlock
and white cardstock, then lightly misted with October Afternoon's Sprinkler in Token. 

 

 

Here, I added some wooden veneer chevrons from Studio Calico. 

 

 

I absolutely adore these fun flower embellishments that coordinate with the Oh Darling line!

Chic Tags June Sunday Sketch It Out Challenge

Hello! It's time for another Chic Tags Sunday Sketch It Out challenge!  This month's sketch is from DT member, Jennie McGarvey!

 

 

 

 

 

 

For my layout, I used the new Let's Go collection!  Love the colors of this line...especially the gold accents!  For the base of my page, I used the A side of  "Missing You" and the "World Traveler Gold Vellum" paper.

 

 

 

For my title, I used the gold foil letter stickers from the Good Tidings collection and the Let's Go Clear Acetate Alphas.

Behind my photo, I placed two of the Let's Go cards, using one of them for journaling. I then added this cute wooden veneer geo tag from the "Traveling" Wood Veneer set.

I used one of the tags from the "Let's Go Tidbits" along with a gold foil label sticker from the Cloud 9 collection.



 

Another cute embellishment from the Tidbits....loving the gold foil accent!

 

I cut one of the Let's Go Tabs in half and added it to the side of my page. 



 

Another one of the Tidbits...again love the gold foil!! Such a great accent to the tags!
