Love This: Teresa Collins Designs' Something Wonderful + giveaway!

Happy Thursday!  It's my last day of subbing today! I will miss my coworkers but happy to have some time off!  Today I am up on the Teresa Collins Designs' Design Team blog with a layout I created with
Something Wonderful.  Teresa has outdone herself again with this collection!  I love the colors and fun embellishments!  I tell you its so fun creating with her lines!

I wanted to create my page around the "Love This" 3x4 card that is included in the Ephemera Pack.  I cut different sizes of rectangles from the patterned papers and stitched through. Really, all you need is paper and a ruler!

Here, I placed one of the Decorative Brads in the center of a circle in this cool patterned paper!  This is an easy way to add a pop of color to your page.
Love that Teresa includes these 3x4 cards in the Ephemera Packs!  They are wonderful as a focal point of your layout and of course, for pocket scrapbooking!

Again, I added another Decorative Brad to the center of one of the rectangles.  I love the contrast it adds!

I love adding embellishments to the top of my photos...here I added two of the stickers from the 6x12 Sticker sheet. I finished by adding a few enamel dots that come with the collection.

At the bottom, I added some journaling as well as a cute enamel dot heart! Love the fun shapes in the Something Wonderful Enamel Dot pack!

A sample of a few of the many adorable patterns in this collection!  I am just loving what Teresa has created!

Thanks for stopping by!  Today, I am giving away a Teresa Collins Xyron PINK Stapler!  All you have to do is tell me your favorite TC collection!  BTW, if you have the tiny attacher (which I do)...you DO need both! Honestly I have used my TC stapler a lot! It's great for attaching bigger embellishments!
Have a great day!!

Clear Scraps Misty Mixable Album

Hello friends...I sincerely apologize for my absence. My dumb laptop decided to crash on me :(   So, I'm using our very outdated and SLOW PC. Ugh.  Very frustrating since my laptop was only a little over a year old.  I have sent it in for repair so hopefully they can fix it. Luckily, too, my personal photos were backed up. The only thing I lost was photos of my scrapbook work. So having to retake some pics isn't a huge deal.
Also to mention, I'm STILL trying to get over pneumonia....but my energy is coming back and I'm not coughing as much. And it is my LAST week of covering a maternity leave at my old dental office!!

Ok, on to the scrappy stuff because that's why we are really here :)  Today, I am up on the Clear Scraps blog with a mini I created using the Misty Mixable Album and Teresa Collins Designs' Save The Date collection. Since we are entering the official "wedding season" I wanted to document the photos from my niece's 2009 wedding.  My MIL had given me these photos almost 4 and a half years ago to make her a mini book. So ya, I'm a bad daughter in law....I just gave this book to her for Mother's Day a few weeks ago. LOL  I will say honestly too, these photos were hard for me to scrapbook.  I didn't get to stay at the wedding because my mom was dying.  Mom took a turn for the worse and I had had her best friend come get me.  So ya..there it is.  On a happy note, this couple in the book are expecting their first baby next month! :) I get to be a great aunt!!

I love how each page cascades into a larger shape with alternating acrylic and chipboard.  I think this creates a beautiful effect.  I covered the front with patterned paper and embellishments. I love the colors of this line!  My flower is an oldie but goodie from the Pink Paislee House of Three Anthology line. I seriously found it when cleaning out my stash!

I love making pockets and folders in my mini books to add pages. Here, I scored my paper so I could add more photos and embellishments!

Here, I created a pocket for the invitation to slip in and out for easy viewing (but also safe keeping!)

For this page, I scored and stitched long the top of the page to allow it to flip up.

Here is what the inside looks like....I was able to add three more photos!

Another way to add to your album is to include envelopes, bags, or tags.  Here, I used one of the vellum envelopes from Teresa's Basically Essential line. I inserted sequins and wood veneer hearts before stitching the envelope closed.

And again another folder I created...I love using my Scor Pal!  On the inside, I added the reception invitation with one of my favorite photos of the couple!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to check out the Clear Scraps shop to see MANY more Mixable Albums, as well as chipboard and acrylic pieces!

Sketch N Scrap #57 sketch reveal

Sketch N Scrap has another awesome sketch up on the blog this week! This one is one of my favorites so far! Kelly Holifield does an awesome job!

And here is my layout using Crate Paper's  Boys Rule.

I dug out some of my old Amy Tangerine Thickers for my title. I think these were in her very first release?

I cut the triangles into my background using my Silhouette (I just realized I've done this same technique on the last few layouts I've posted! Ha!)

Since it is Sketch N Scrap's birthday month, we have TWO prize sponsors! The first is Robin's Nest giving out a gift certificate to their online shop.  The second is The Paper Bakery giving away a prize pack.  And if you haven't yet, there are still LOTS of fun challenges for the Sketch N Scrap birthday bash!

Have a great day!

Teresa Collins Designs Urban Market Layout

Today I have another layout on the Teresa Collins Designs Design Team blog using her new collection Urban Market!  Ok, I know I sound like a broken record gushing about Teresa's products but come on..you have to admit this one is gorgeous!  She just keeps wowing me with her designs...Urban Market is no exception. I am in love with the navy blue color..so different than what you are seeing right now.  And the contrasting grey and black as well as the silver glitter help the blue to pop.

Using my Silhouette, I cut stars into the cardstock background as well as from patterned papers.  I added some of the fun decorative brads as well to accent.

Stars cut into the background are backed with patterned paper. I am loving this blue/white paisley print!  Keeping with the star theme, I added a star Wood Die Cut.

I affixed these pieces from the Ephemera pack with my Teresa Collins Xyron Stapler (it's pink!) to my photo overlay. This is a great way to "adhere" your photo overlays.

A glimpse of one of the 4x6 Photo Overlays that come with Urban Market!

I embossed one of the vellum bags from the Basically Essential Media Kit with my eBosser and the Teresa Collins Craftwell Woodgrain embossing folder.  I then layered patterned paper and one of the Urban Market tags before adhering my photo.
Showing another view of the stars as well as the wood "1" Die Cut. I chose this because my nephew had just turned one in this photo!  I love scrapping his photos!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Check out Urban Market on Teresa's blog as well as her other collection: Something Wonderful. Also, keep an eye out for what she will be debuting at the NYC Stationary Show!  :)  Have a great day!

Chic Tags May Sketch Challenge

This month I had the privilege (well I signed up!) to create a sketch for the Chic Tags design team, as well as our lovely fans, to use.  I'm kind of new to creating sketches but have found it to be a lot of fun and I hope to do more! A quick shout out to Ashley Horton for helping me navigate Publisher! :)

So, here is the sketch!

Pretty simple but I think it gives you a lot of opportunities to expand and add your own input!
And here is what I created using Chic Tags' new Cloud 9 collection!

Using my Silhouette, I cut these hexagon shapes into my white cardstock background.  I then backed them with different patterned papers.

Another cluster of hexagons along with some of the cute wooden sequins as well as the sequin rub ons!

Here, I used one of the Cloud 9 Photo Toppers as well as a butterfly rub-on.

Loving the colors of this line including these fun label stickers!

Want a chance to win a Chic Tags grab bag? Link up your own layout using this sketch no later than June 11th to the CT blog!  Winners will be announced at the next Sketch It Out challenge!
Have a good day!
