Chic Tags Sunday Challenge: All About You

Today on Chic Tags, the team is doing another fun challenge!  How guilty are we of not scrapping about ourselves? So, how about doing a page all about you? I know I find it hard to scrap only about myself...usually my pages are about my children or family.

I used papers from Happy Place and School House for my page. Before adhering any paper down, I added some modeling paste for my background by using one of Teresa Collins Designs' new Basically Essential stencils and paste.  Love the effect it gives!

One of the mini icons from Happy Place. I love using them on my projects!

This journaling card is from the Autumn Days collection. I thought the colors went perfect with the patterned papers!

A photo topper from Autumn Days...I affixed it with a staple plus added one of Studio Calico's new gold stars!

I love the Everyday Life II tags! They are perfect to slide under a photo. I added some bakers twine from Whisker Graphics!

Here, I added some ink splatter and enamel dots to give my page more color.

I cut white cardstock stars on my Silhouette and added them to my page. I love the white-on-white effect!   I also added this tag from Autumn Days and stamp from the January Exclusive Set.

Thanks for reading! Please go check out the rest of the teams' pages on the blog and leave them some love!  I hope you'll be inspired to scrap about yourself too!

Clear Scraps Mason Jar Acrylic Album

Hello....it's almost the weekend!  Spring keeps trying to start around here!  I'm so ready for green grass, flowers, and sun!

Today I am up on the Clear Scraps blog with a cute mini album I created for CHA. The Mason Jar album reminded me of warmer weather so I decided to scrap photos of my nephew's first time at a local splash park.  He was 18 months old at the time...and such a cutie.

I dipped into my paper stash and used Pink Paislee's Hello Summer collection.  I can't tell you how long I've had it, but ya...I'm like that!  LOL

It's easy to cover your acrylic pages.  What I usually do is trace the shape onto my paper and then cut. Then using a liquid adhesive on the acrylic, I adhere my paper. Once dry, you can trim with scissors and use a sanding tool on the edges.

For this page, I left the top bare and just used my photo and embellishments to mirror each other on the front and back.

By leaving some acrylic bare, this allows other pages to "show through".

Thanks for looking today!  Be sure to stop by the Clear Scraps shop to see this album and many new shapes that were released in January! Have a great day!

Practical Scrappers Ombre challenge

Hello! Today on Practical Scrappers the team is doing an ombre challenge!  This is one trend I love...its been popular in a lot of collections!

I created a layout using the dot ombre print from Chic Tags' School House line and pieces of
My Mind's Eye's Cut and Paste collection.

I added a couple decorative brads from the "Flair" line of Cut and Paste. The tag is also from the brad set but I used bakers twine instead of the brad.

I created my title with letter stickers from October Afternoon's Daily Flash and Amy Tangerine's rubber Thickers.

Here, I used a piece of flair from
{a flair for buttons}...I just ordered them
this past week and couldn't wait to use one on a page!

I used some of my neon ink sprays as well as enamel dots from Cut and Paste.

Thanks for stopping by....now head to the Practical Scrappers' blog to see other DT members' ombre projects!

Teresa Collins Designs Save The Date: Love Always

Happy first day of spring! At least I hope it feels like spring where you live!  It's supposed to be in the 50's today here in Central IL...I'll take it!

Today, I up on the Teresa Collins Designs Design Team blog with a layout I created using Save The Date!   I love working with this collection (well, actually all of them!). Save The Date has such beautiful prints and colors: the gold to compliment the blue and pinks! And then you have black and white as well! I know I've written about the awesome texture of this line, too...it feels like wall paper!

I created my title with pieces from the Chipboard set and Wooden Die Cuts.  In my usual fashion, I added small embellishments around the title.  I love that Teresa has so much to choose from! Here, I used coordinating buttons, enamel dots, and decorative brads.

Yes, more clusters!  I used die cut pieces from the Ephemera Pack, as well as more chipboard and brads. I added some bakers twine from Whisker Graphics around one of my brads. You can even see a peek of washi tape underneath, as well.

Here, I used pieces from the Ephemera Pack as well as a chipboard piece on the side of my photo.

Using a hand punch, I cut out numerous hearts from the different patterned papers to create a banner. On the center heart, I added a vellum overlay and a decorative brad.

I adhered a Save The Date tag behind my photo and added some ephemera and chipboard!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to check out Teresa's blog today! She is giving away a spot in Ali Edwards' Hello Story class!
Have a great day!

Practical Scrappers April Scrap Your Stash Blog Hop

It's time for another Practical Scrappers Scrap Your Stash blog hop!  I love these challenges because it makes me use up my older collections!  I've been hoarding October Afternoon's 9 to 5 since it came out. And I HAD to have it!  So why haven't I used it? LOL

I pulled out some older photos from when I worked in an office part time (I've been a dental hygienist for over 20yrs). The assistant, Danielle, and I got into the prize box one afternoon and found these funny glasses.  We were dorks. LOL

Love all of the tidbits that coordinate with OA's lines! Lots of die cuts, buttons and even flair!

More die cuts and I added wooden veneer stars from Studio Calico.  Can you tell I love to layer and cluster?

Cute ledger border sticker from the 12x12 sticker sheet.  I also added a tab from the Tidbits.

My title is made from American Craft Thickers that I've had forever!

Thanks for hopping with us! If you are following the list, your next stop is Erin Morehouse's blog!

Sketch N Scrap #53 Sketch Reveal

Hello all! It's time for another great sketch from Sketch N Scrap!  Today's sketch is created by co-owner, Kelly Holifield.

For my layout, I used Teresa Collins Designs' Daily Stories collection (it's one of my favorites!) I love the colors!!

This is a partial cut file by Kolette Hall on my Silhouette (#44437).  I misted them with Caribbean Blue Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist,  then stitched through with my sewing machine.

My title is made from Heidi Swapp Clear Alphas in Teal, as well as letter stickers from Daily Stories.  You can also spy some of the beautiful Daily Stories washi tape and sequins, too!

I typed my journaling on my typewriter....I know "they" say you should use your own handwriting but most of the time I don't like how it turns out. So, I use my typewriter when I can.

Loving this butterfly stamp from the Daily Stories Clear Stamp Set!  So clean and simple!

Staying with the butterfly theme, there is also a wooden die cut butterfly in the collection!

Thanks for looking...be sure to link up your layout by the end of the month for a chance to win a prize pack from SNS senior designer, Monique Fox! Monique is giving away a $20 Scrapbook.com gift certificate! You can buy a lot of paper with that! :)
Have a great day!
