Chic Tags/Clear Snaps Blog Hop

I have a layout and a tag on the Chic Tags blog this week for the Chic Tags/Clear Snaps blog hop!  Clear Snaps was kind enough to send some of their awesome inks for some of our design team to use!
I created a layout and a tag for the hop using pieces of Chic Tags' Happy Place and School House.

I always love using the CT photo toppers!  Great accent to a project!

Here, I used one of the Hanging Tags for my journaling.

I always like adding the Happy Place phrases for my date or  to jot some journaling down.  The colors go with just about any paper line!

Here, I used the trio arrows from one of the stamps sets from Happy Place with Clear Snaps Mixed Media ink in Peridot.  Beautiful color!

I used the same ink to stamp "our story" onto the Hanging Tag.

I received some of the Clear Snaps ink in black...perfect for my sentiment here from the Happy Place stamp set.

I used my Silhouette to cut these triangles and placed different patterns in random spots. I used a background cut file called Random Triangle Background by Sarah Hurley (#43521).

And here is my tag...I used a Ranger Kraft tag to start. I added patterned paper from Happy Place as well as snippets of Birthday Cake.

I used the Clear Snap's Mixed Media Ink with clear embossing powder with this fun stamp from the Happy Place line.

Rescued: Chic Tags January Exclusive Kit

Hello...hope you are having a good weekend. It's been busy around here but in a good way. One of my best friends celebrated her 40th birthday Friday and I got to go to dinner with her and a few other friends. Last night the hubby and I are met some friends for dinner. We so needed a night out together!

Today I am sharing a layout I created for Chic Tags using the January Exclusive Kit.  I am always amazed with the kits...there is so much fun items to play with!  Not to mention the colors are amazing!

I started by using a Studio Calico mask and some spray ink for my back ground. I then layered some of the 4x6 cards under my photo.

Love this cute pennant tag! I adhered it to my photo and then added a staple.

The kit includes this cute little photo frame. I backed it with white cardstock and added a plastic letter.

Showing off the arrow stamp from the clear stamp set! Such a nice accent.

Veronica and Albert always come up with cute flair buttons in the kits!

Of course, I had to add some paint splatters and enamels dots.

Be sure to check out this kit as well as February's!  Can't wait to see what is in store for March!
Thanks for stopping by!

Paper Secrets February 15th Sketch Reveal

Hello! It's the middle of the month so that means another sketch reveal from Paper Secrets!  The challenge word is LOVE!  This sketch was so fun to work with!

And here is my layout! I used Farmhouse Paper's 302 collection (which can be found in the Paper Secrets shop!)  I've had this paper for awhile...I always thought it was a great school line, but  as you can see, it can be used for so many themes!

For the challenge word I used L-lined paper, O-orange, V-vellum, and E-envelope.

Love these chipboard glasses...I adhered vellum behind them. My title is made from letter stickers from Basic Grey and American Craft Thickers.

I also added a vellum pennant as well to this cluster.  For smaller pennants, I use my square hand punch to create the notch. Works great!

I added a couple orange buttons to break up the many shades of blue. Plus, I think it helps the orange typewriters on the envelope to "pop".

Here is the envelope, which I added a button and bakers twine, as well as one of the number clips that come with the 302 collection.

Another button and of course, enamel dots! Love using them!

Link up your own layout for a chance to win a gift card to the Paper Secrets shop!  New items are rolling in from the show!  :)  Thanks for stopping by!

Sketch N Scrap #51 reveal

Hey everyone...happy Sunday!  Hope this finds you doing well.  Today, I am sharing the next awesome sketch from Sketch N Scrap! This month's sponsor is senior designer, Tamika Jefferson.....  so be sure to play along for your chance to win.

And here is my layout...I used Crate Paper's Close Knit collection. I've been trying to use up my paper as the newer stuff starts coming in.
I used a Silhouette cut file to make the doily for my background (cut file #38958).

I used a combination of embellishments from Close Knit, as well as a button from my stash and new GOLD enamel dots from Tim and Beck.

Love these cute stitched pennants that come with Close Knit! I used them for my banner.

My title is cut from the Silhouette...I misted it lightly with Tattered Angels in Caribbean Blue (cut file #54984).
Thanks for stopping by...check out the other designers' take on the sketch!

Practical Scrappers Scrap Your Stash Blog Hop

Happy Valentine's Day!  Practical Scrappers is having another Scrap Your Stash Blog Hop!  This month, we are using up our Valentine stash! And boy did I find an oldie, but goodie!  I found a half and full sheet of paper plus left over die cuts from My Mind's Eye Love Me collection.    I know this paper is at least two years old if not more.

It was fun layering the different die cuts...I tried to use as many as I could (that's how I roll).

Love these cute little button die cuts......especially the plaid.  I added some buttons from my own stash and used bakers twine from Whisker Graphics.

My Pebbles date stamp is my go-to on most of my projects!

I cut my title from white cardstock and a cut file from the Silhouette. I misted it lightly first with spray ink from Maya Road.  (file number: 54314

Your next stop on the hop is Alison Day so go give her some love!!  You can find the full list at the Practical Scrappers blog.  Thanks for participating today!

Clear Scraps Heart Arrow Mascil

Hey friends...happy Thursday! If you are getting bombarded by snow, my sympathies. Here in Central IL we are supposed to get a couple of inches of snow Saturday but then looking at 49-50 degrees next week! I am so ready for spring!  I've been sick for over two weeks and its not fun.

Today I have a layout up on the Clear Scraps blog using the new Heart Arrow Mascil.

And here is my layout. I used Crate Paper's Love Notes (surprise surprise).

I used the Heart Arrow Mascil and Alcohol Ink in Red Pepper to create this effect. After drying, I used the new 6 inch Polka Dots Mascil with white acrylic paint.

I then added some of the chipboard hearts that coordinate with the line, as well as a few wooden veneer hearts from Studio Calico.

My title is cut on the Silhouette and with white cardstock. I love these handwritten words. This cut file is #30645

 Love these layered stickers!

One of the cute coordinating flairs!  Love!

Be sure to visit the Clear Scraps shop to check out these Mascils and lots more! Thanks for reading!
