God Gave Me You....

It's no secret that I am a HUGE Teresa Collins fan...so when I saw her mid release "You are My Happy", I HAD to have it! This past weekend, I finally had a chance to play and it didn't disappoint!  Teresa always has such great color combos in her lines!  And the embellishments!! I love the addition of the epoxy shapes with the enamel dots, as well as the ephemera pack!

This collection comes with cute decorative brads!! And more colors of sequins. I love the gold that coordinates with the border strips and gold embossed paper!

Pennants! Love that Teresa always has pennants in her collections!!  Both die cuts and stickers :)

Showing one of the die cuts with an epoxy arrow. And of course some sequins!

Here, I used an AE Studio from Technique Tuesday stamp in Pebble, along with chevrons from an Amy Tangerine stamp set.

I had the idea for awhile to do this title from one of my favorite songs "God Gave Me You"....it reminds me of my husband.  And I love this photo of us from when we had our family photos taken.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  Take care!

Clear Scraps Give Thanks card and layout

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my friends!  I hope you have a wonderful day if you are celebrating or not :)

Today, I'm up on the Clear Scraps blog with a card and layout for Thanksgiving.  I used a Regular Send It Clear card and the 6 Inch Chicken Wire Mascil to create my card. Also, SEI was gracious enough to give our design team two collections including Yesteryear which is perfect for this time of year.

After adhering my patterned paper to the right and left flaps, I used my Chicken Wire Mascil and Heidi Swapp's Color Shine in Silver to create a fun background.

And here's the end result!  Love how this looks :)

I then cut my title from white cardstock and my Silhouette. I lightly spritzed it with Tattered Leather from Tattered Angels and added elements from Yesteryear's Sundries pack.

On the inside, I added a die cut from Yesteryear plus buttons and canvas pennants.

One of the pennants, I used my Chicken Wire Mascil and Color Shine again.

To keep with the grateful theme, I created a layout using the 6 Inch Circle Mascil to create a background.  Again, I used HS Colorshine in Silver.

Here is a close up shot of the circles! I lightly sprayed from about 6 inches above my paper.  You can make it as light or dark as you want.

Some of the great embellishments from Teresa Collins Designs' Family Stories!

My title is from the Silhouette and cardstock...I colored with Tattered Angels in Caribbean Blue.

Love these border pieces!! I just ordered them because I still had some paper to use plus this is one of my all time favorite TC collections!!

Thanks for stopping by today!! Have a safe and fun holiday!

Clear Scraps + DCWV Blog Hop: Halloween 2013

Hello and Happy Monday!  Today is Day 4 of the Clear Scraps and DCWV Blog Hop.  I was lucky to receive DCWV's Halloween line Spookytime to work with (my favorite holiday!)  It's never too late to scrapbook this year's Halloween photos so I decided to create a mini album with Clear Scraps 6x6 Tab Album.  This album is the perfect size to document any event or favorite photos!

For my inside cover, I used a fun clear photo frame from Pebbles' Thirty One line and added my journaling, as well as a cute pennant punched from one of the Spookytime patterns.

I let my photo cover the bottom half of my page and added patterned paper to the top portion.  I finished by adding a tag for journaling, as well as washi tape, and flair from {a flair for buttons}.

On this page, I used a Clearly Accent Embellishment Dress Form and colored it with Ranger Alcohol Ink in Slate. I then covered the bottom half of the "dress" with patterned paper. I finished by adding black/white chevron ribbon from Maya Road, as well as a pin from Tim Holtz.

I used a fun subway style cut file from my Silhouette and adhered it to my background paper. I then added some washi tape as well as fun Halloween flair from {a flair for buttons}.

For this page, I simply punched out circles with a punch and added a different patterned behind. After adhering my photo, I added different size sequins as well as washi tape.

Another fun cut file from Silhouette!  I also added a doily  as well as paint splatters to accent.

I love using chipboard photo frames like this one from Crate Paper's The Pier collection. I accented with bakers twine and color resist pennants (Heidi Swapp).  I finished by creating a fun fabric ribbon flower with a Teresa Collins' Designs decorative brad in the middle.

Here's a close up of my fabric flower....instead of starting from the center of the circle, I began on the outside edge. Using my hot glue gun, I created folds until I reached the center of the circle.

Here, I took a Ranger manila tag and covered with patterned paper and washi tape. I used this for my journaling (which I did on my electric typewriter).

For my last page, I incorporated a cute Halloween tag from Chic Tags to go under my photo.

Thanks for stopping by today! Your next destination is the Clear Scraps blog! Be sure to check out all of the projects from the hop for your chance to win some great prizes!  Have a great day!

Sketch N Scrap #45 Sketch Reveal

It's the middle of the month so time for another sketch reveal from Sketch N Scrap!  Today's sketch is designed by co-owner Kelly Holifield!  I love the layers!

And here is my layout! I used Fancy Pants Designs' Park Bench collection!

I am a big fan of using pennants...I cut these from the patterned papers then added the coordinating cardstock star stickers. I also added some sequins from Teresa Collins Designs.

I did my journaling on my typewriter and cardstock strips.  Underneath I stamped the date with one of my American Crafts date stamps.

I created my title with the coordinating letter stickers from Park Bench and the cool new American Craft Thickers (these are my favorite so I've been using them a lot!). I also added a metal grey star from Two Peas in a Bucket.

Showing a metal arrow clip from Freckled Fawn!

Be sure to link up your own layout and play along at Sketch N Scrap!  You can have the chance to win a prize from this month's sponsor, Kiwi Lane Designs!
Have a great day!

Clear Scraps + Lindy's Stamp Gang Blog Hop

Hello! I hope you have been enjoying participating in our blog hop this week with Clear Scraps and Lindy's Stamp Gang! Today, I am sharing a layout I created using some fun products from both companies!   Thank you to Lindy's Stamp Gang for the great sprays and paints!

Before adhering my title, I used the Clear Scraps 6 inch Circle Mascil and Lindy's Glitz Spritz in   Scintillating Silver to create a subtle effect.

My title is made from my Silhouette, Pink Paislee letter stickers, and a Clear Expression Family Title. I used Ranger Alcohol ink to color my title first, then added a thin layer of Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals pigment paint in Silver Bells Silver.  My page is also mounted to a 12x12 Clear Acrylic Sheet to let the negative space show through!

I attached a Clearly Accent Shape Butterfly Embellishment with my Tim Holtz tiny attacher as an accent for my photo.

At the top of my page, I layered some of the cardstock stickers and a wooden veneer banner I received in this month's Studio Calico kit.

Thanks for looking and be sure to check out more inspiration at both Clear Scraps and Lindy's Stamp Gang!  Have a great day!

Love This Family

Well, winter arrived here in Central Illinois yesterday. We woke up to a blanket of snow across everything.  I am not a fan of snow but there is always something exciting about the first snow of the season!

Today I am sharing a layout I had originally created for the Chic Tags + Freckled Fawn blog hop. I had been struggling with matching the two kits together so I made two layouts. My other page was on the CT blog yesterday.  I used Teresa Collins Designs' Family Stories...one of my absolute favorite collections!

I created my title using the adorable gold LOVE clip from Freckled Fawn, along with American Craft Thickers, and a cut file from my  Silhouette. I added all these to a 3x4 Chic Tags card from the Exclusive Kit.

A bundle of embellishments!!   I love the "Our Crew" flair from Chic Tags. I added in pieces from the Family Stories collection.

One of the cards from Novembers Exclusive Kit!

Here, I used the #favorites stamp from the CT Clear Stamp Set and added sequins and paint splatters.

Thanks for stopping by!! If winter has come to your house, stay warm today!  Its definitely a good day for me to stay in my scrap room with my space heater :)
