31: Halloween Mini Album

It's almost October and I'm definitely getting excited for Halloween (my favorite holiday!)  I was so excited to see Teresa Collins Designs come out with another awesome Halloween collection! I love love love the colors and embellishments of Masquerade!  So, today I'm sharing a mini album I created with the line as well as a Maya Road chipboard house!

I used Maya Road mist in Metallic Black to cover my chipboard pieces.
I also placed squares of patterned paper behind the windows of the front.

Adding some of the awesome coordinating chipboard, enamel dots (love the purple!), and clear sequins.

For my journaling, I took one of the die cut frames and adhered it over a journaling card, then added a cute die cut over the top!

I created a pocket behind my photos and added my journaling on this manila tag.

For this page, I created a fold to hide a photo and embellishments. I love the die cut skeleton!

The inside of the page:  I added a doily, chipboard, and a cute die cut pennant.

More fun embellishments! There are so much with this line! Here is one of the decorative brads: I added Halloween colored bakers twine from Whisker Graphics.

For this page, I created a card that flips up to reveal a photo and journaling.

And yet another fold out page:  I used one of the black border strips for my edge and added chipboard pennants.

Thanks for checking out my mini album!  I hope this inspires you to do some Halloween themed creating of your own! Have a great day!

I thought it went great with these new photos

I layered a doily under my photo then added some of the fun chipboard, decorative brads, and sequins.

I created my title with a Silhouette cut file and cardstock.

Love that there are so many embellishments with Teresa's lines!  Showing some of the chipboard pieces, as well as die cuts.  And I love the enamel dots!! I can't ever get enough of them!

Clear Scraps Back to School layout

Hello! I'm up on the Clear Scraps blog today with a back to school layout using some of their fun products!

As a part of my background, I used the 6 inch Circle Mascil and Tattered Angels Mist in Wheat Beer. I love using the Mascils! They are so much fun!

I colored the acrylic number with Ranger Alcohol ink in Red Pepper. After adhering, I used a 03 American Crafts journaling pen to trace around the edges to help it stand out.

One of the cute decorative brads that come with Smarty Pants!

Here, I used more of the decorative brads, along with enamel dots. My date stamp is from American Crafts; the "amazing moment" stamp is from Studio Calico.

Here, I created a banner with my Marvy Uchida pennant punch then stitched through with my sewing machine.  I then added more decorative brads and enamel dots.

I used a Ranger kraft tag for my journaling and added bakers twine from Whisker Graphics.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Be sure to check out the Clear Scraps shop to check out the Mascils and lots more! Have a great day!

Chic Tags Sunday Challenge

Hello and happy Sunday!  Today on the Chic Tags blog is another awesome challenge!  The very talented Ashley Horton has shared a great sketch for the design team to play with!

And here is my layout! I used Basic Grey's Knee Highs line that I purchased at my LSS

Here, I added a Road Trip card under my photo to use the fun chevron print. I then used pop dots and added this icon from Everyday Life II at the corner of my photo!

I cute the "Sat" portion from one of the Everyday Life II cards for my date. I also added another   journaling card from the same collection.

I love doing clusters of brads, enamel dots, and splatters of ink.

A close up shot of the stitching I used on each layer of the "V" in the sketch.

I typed my journaling onto vellum and added paper beneath. Some stitching with my sewing machine is one of the finishing touches along with a brad and enamel dots!

Be sure to stop by the Chic Tags blog and check out the other designers' takes on the sketch! Also, be sure to play along and link up your own layout using this sketch for a chance to win a fun Chic Tags prize! Have a great day!

Happy "Gotcha Day"...

So one year ago today, I drove to St. Louis to pick up our sweet pug Max.  And what a year its been....he's such a loving, good natured dog. Max loves to interact with all people and animals. He's not afraid to drop right in front of a stranger's feet to demand a belly rub.  Today we are celebrating his "birthday".

I made this fun layout with My Mind's Eye's Cut and Paste collection.  I had taken Max through the Krispy Kreme drive thru and caught this photo. I absolutely love it.

Some of the fun buttons that come with the collection. I also added a sticker for some journaling on the side.

Love this icon from Chic Tags (the Everyday Life II collection). I popped this and the sentiment up with foam tape.

More buttons and enamel dots. Plus some splatter of ink from October Afternoon and Tattered Angels.

My title is made from KI Memories rub on letters as well as American Craft Thickers.

Thanks for reading and hope you have a great Friday night evening! We are just relaxing as a family after a very long week!
