Clear Scraps Clearly Accent Road Trip Embellishments

Today I'm up on the Clear Scraps blog with a layout I created using the Clearly Accent Road Trip Embellishments.  I wanted to use these fun products to go with one of my favorite photos:  a day at a local fundraiser where the kids were able to ride on construction vehicles!  My son at the time was 2 1/2 and he was in total heaven!

I chose three of the five signs that come in the set and added color to them. The route and stop sign were inked with Ranger Alcohol Ink in Pool and Red Pepper respectively. On the yield sign, I used Art Anthology Sorbet in Sheen Shimmer Gold.

I also used pieces of a Clear Scraps Circle Border and inked in Pool as well.

Here is are some close ups of the Circle Border pieces.  I layered them on top of a cute freebie cut file from Chic Tags!

I used a canvas tag that coordinates with the Wander collection from Basic Grey and placed it on top of the stop sign. I then adhered it so it would peek out from under my photo!  I added a date stamp from American Crafts, as well.

I used some of the cardstock stickers and a wooden veneer star from Studio Calico to embellish the route sign.

For the yield sign, I added more of the cardstock stickers and placed it just under my photo.

I used Thickers from American Crafts plus Basic Grey Sticker letters for my title. I cut the "Dozer" on my Silhouette and backed it with patterned paper.  My entire layout is adhered to a Clear Scraps 12x12 Acrylic Sheet.

Love these tiny arrow!  I wish SC would re-release them (I did tell them that at CHA!).
The stamped sentiment is from Amy Tangerine (American Crafts).

Thanks for reading and stopping by today. Check out the Clear Scraps shop for these fun clear embellishments and a lot more!

Echo Park's A Beautiful Life canvas + card

Hello everyone! I'm back to share some more projects done with Echo Park's A Beautiful Life collection.  I created these for The Scrapbooking Studio design team.

First up is a canvas I made using the papers, as well as chipboard words and a doily from Gina's Lasercut Designs.  This is one of my all time favorite photos of my daughter. It was taken last Labor Day weekend up on Michigan.  This butterfly stayed on her hand for at least 20 minutes...amazing!

I applied a light coat of Art Anthology Sorbet in Vegas Gold to the letters.

Here, I used on of Little Yellow Bicycle's cork butterfly embellishments.

Next up is my card!  I stitched patterned papers to the front of my cardstock...

....then I created a flower out of Maya Road cream tulle trim.  In the center, I added another cork butterfly.  I used one of the cardstock stickers and placed it in the center, then added Glossy Accents.
The decorative pins are from Jillibean Soup!

Close up of a few of the cardstock stickers I added to the bottom. I also used Glossy Accents on these, as well!

Thanks for reading! I will be back this week with more projects! Have a great day!

CHA Summer 2013 in Vegas: Recap

I was lucky to attend this year's summer CHA show in Vegas this past week! I had really wanted to update each night but our Wi-Fi in the condo we were staying wasn't working. I tagged along with my friend/scrap cohort, Malika, who designs for Chic Tags!  We both helped Veronica out in her booth showing off the wonderful products!

Malika and Veronica ready for the first day of show!
I had every intention of just hanging back during the show and walking the floor without Mal, but Veronica asked me to help in the booth and I was more than happy to be there!  I have been a big fan of Chic Tags for a long time and LOVE the new releases!  It was great to hang out with Veronica and get to know her!  Chic Tags has 3 new fun collections in which Veronica has added 12x12 paper, stamps, stickers, and rub-ons!  Love them all!!    I had a great time helping with make and takes and talking to new people, as well as meeting up with old friends!

I was able to get out on the floor and visit some of my favorite companies, as well!
Dear Lizzy has a great collection coming out! Polka Dot Party has beautiful colors and great embellishments!

Loving Studio Calico's Magical line...especially the sequins cards

Pebbles has three new lines:

From Me To You

Front Porch

LOVE this new date/word stamp from Pebbles as well!  This is a must have on my list!

Their Halloween collection, Thirty One,  is very cute too.  I really liked the garland here!

We ran into the crew from October Afternoon! Can't wait for their new releases! I love working with their products!

Lori Whitlock stopped by the Chic Tags booth! Here she is with Malika and Veronica.  Always love Lori's lines with Echo Park!

I totally adore Dyan Reavely!  She is such a sweetheart!  I'm looking forward to her new stencils!

Mama Tan stopped by the booth too! Such a nice person! She even brought me and Mal extra cookies! :)

I got to visit with Teresa Collins on the last day!  She is my all time favorite designer and I am in love with all four of her collections!   I also got to visit with Cheri Piles who is on the DT team (love her work) and Sesil Cratin showed up too!  Yay!

Here is Masquarade...Teresa's Halloween line! So fun and I'm super excited that she created another Halloween line!!

Love the colors of Family Stories!  This line is so great and I can't wait to get my hands on it!

Another beautiful Christmas line!  Here is Santa's List

And the fourth line:  Memorabilia.  Love the sequins packs in this line!

I also loved Pink Paislee's Hey Kid collection...it looks like a  lot of fun and would be great for photos of my children.  I think even my 10 yr old would love to scrap with it!

I didn't get around to take photos of all of the collections I liked so here are the additions:
1.  Amy Tangerine's Cut and Paste
2.  Basic Grey's Persimmon
3.  My Mind's Eye's Cut and Paste, Happy Haunting
4. Simple Stories' Smarty Pants
5. Crate Paper's Bundled Up
6. Glitz Designs' Hello December, Raven
7. Maggie Holmes' Flea Market
8. Carta Bella's Happy Haunting, Hello Again

So I've decided I will be broke once all of these lines start rolling into The Scrapbooking Studio! :)  However I feel blessed to be a part of such a great industry! I love going to the show and being around others that love to create!
Tell me what your favorites are this summer...what are you looking forward to creating with?

I'm sharing a layout I created using my Studio Calico Mr. Huey chevron mask. I first placed the mask onto the bottom right corner of my cardstock and used Tattered Angels in Caribbean Blue. After using the mask (and without cleaning it off!) I "stamped" it on the upper left corner.  Also, you will see chevron patterns in a few of the papers!

For my project I used Birthday Wishes from Echo Park' Photo Freedom/Glitz Designs.

Practical Scrappers July Layout Sketch Reveal

Practical Scrappers has another awesome sketch reveal today created by the talented
Liz Chidester!  Love working with her sketches!

And here is my sketch! I used October Afternoon's new line Travel Girl

Cute cut file from the Silhouette Studio; I misted it with Tattered Angels then added bakers twine and a coordinating button.  I also adhered a couple wooden veneer stars from Studio Calico.

I cut my pennants from different patterns from the collection and added a few Studio Calico wooden veneer chevrons.

Here, I used one of the die cut journaling circles and flair from Travel Girl.  Then, of course, a couple more stars!

My journaling was done on my typewriter which I cut apart and adhered. I used the mini chevron stamp from the Travel Girl Clear Stamp Set.

Check out more layouts from our awesome design team on the Practical Scrappers blog!  Thanks for stopping by!

Echo Park's A Beautiful Life layouts

Hello! It's been a busy week here...my family and I took a few days to head up to Wisconsin Dells. We stayed at one of the massive resorts and did a TON of swimming!   I have a few days at home then I'm leaving for the summer CHA show in Vegas!  Excited to go and see the new stuff in person! I will definitely try to post some highlights while I'm out there!

Today, I am sharing two one-page layouts I created with Echo Park's A Beautiful Life collection. I made these for The Scrapbooking Studio design team.

This first layout, I wanted to lay my papers and photos on a slant. I had an idea in my head..and well, it turned out not as I thought but I still like it.  I used my sewing machine to stitch through each layer too.

My title is a combination of a Silhouette cut file and Thickers from American Crafts

Here, I used We R Memory Keepers' glittered eyelets and tied bakers twine from Whiskers Graphics through.

Some of the pennant/flag stickers that coordinate with the line.  There are not one, but two 12x12 sticker sheets that come with the collection!

Using some of the many cardstock stickers from the Elements Sticker Sheet.

For my second layout, I used squares of three different patterns and stitched the edges (of course!).

Here are more of the cardstock stickers:  love the colors; especially the woodgrain!

My title is a Silhouette cut file that I misted with Caribbean Blue from Tattered Angels.

\
Here, I added some woodgrain flair from {a flair for buttons} and Red Alphabean letter stickers from Jillibean Soup.

Love this thin chevron washi from Pebbles!

One of the best tools to come out in the past couple years is the date/sentiment stamp!  Love using these! This one is from Studio Calico!

Thanks for stopping by and reading!  I will be back with more projects with this line, as well as updates from CHA!
