Authentique's Pride Layout + card

Hello..I'm back to share two more projects I created for The Scrapbooking Studio with Authentique's Pride collection.

First up is a one-page layout I created using a fun chevron file from my Cameo Silhouette.  I actually had first cut it out on another sheet and then decided I didn't like it. So I used it as a mask to do some misting on my page!

Love these corrugated people from Jillibean Soup!

My title is from the Silhouette as well as letter stickers from Jillibean Soup.

Another fun cut file from the Silhouette. I also added some washi tape from My Mind's Eye, as well as a mistable arrow from Pink Paislee, metal stars from Basic Grey, and flair from Amy Tangerine's Yes Please line.

Another cute cut file from my Silhouette!

Next up is the card I created. I started with strips of patterned paper that I stitched onto my card.

I layered a misted Pink Paislee star with Dylusions in Postbox Red. Then I added bakers twine from Whisker Graphics and ribbon from Snug Hug. I finished it by adding a cute navy blue button.

Underneath, I used a fun doily I received from Gina's Lasercut Designs which I misted with Dylusions. I also cut a smaller doily on my Silhouette.

I took pieces of the chevrons left over from another project and layered a cardstock sticker over the top

Hope this inspires you to do some holiday crafting for yourself! Thanks for reading!

Printers Tray with Authentique's Pride

Hello! It's the weekend finally!  Today in Central Illinois we're having some mild temps...just in the 70's.  I will take it though! Great for being outside but not so much for swimming.

With the 4th of July coming this next week, I'm sharing a printers tray I created for
The Scrapbooking Studio using Authentique's Pride collection.  I had so much fun using the patterned paper and embellishments from this collection in this tray!

Love using little bits of stickers and other embellishements! Here, I used one of Tim Holtz's mini numbers, a wooden veneer arrow and mistable star from Studio Calico.

I used Alphabeans from Jillibean Soup here and a Pink Paislee mistable arrow.

Here, I used washi tape from My Mind's Eye, one of the coordinating stickers, and a pen nib from Tim Holtz.

Love my Tim Holtz rosette die...I added fun decorative star pins from Maya Road.

Must have some sequins! I also added metal stars from Basic Grey!

Thanks for stopping by!  Are you working on anything for the 4th?  Have a great weekend!

Celebrate Today: 4th of July Layout

How can it almost be the end of June?  Summer always seems to fly by...and that means the 4th of July is right around the corner. Today I am sharing a layout I created for The Scrapbooking Studio design team using Authentique's Pride collection.

I tried something out of my norm and did an 8 1/2 x 11 layout.  I am such a traditional 12x12 girl.  But, I love how this turned out! I layered patterned paper at the bottom and then stitched with my sewing machine. I also added a strip at the top as well.

I used my Chevron Mr. Huey Mask from Studio Calico and Dylusions in Post Box Red to create this fun effect. I then added silver and red sequins as well as small wooden veneer stars.

I created my title with the Silhouette, as well as the polaroid frame around my photo.

Here, I used two of the coordinating stickers that come with the collection.

Chevrons cut from the Silhouette. I stitched these as well with my sewing machine.

Thanks for stopping by and reading!  Be sure to check out this collection! It's my favorite 4th of July line!

Clear Scraps Camera Acrylic Mini Album

Hello...I'm up on the Clear Scraps blog today with a cute mini album I made with the Camera Acrylic Album and Teresa Collins' Summer Stories collection.

I layered coordinating pieces of the borders, die cuts, and chipboard, as well as added some grey/white bakers twine from Whisker Graphics.

For the front cover, I used my 6 Inch Chicken Wire Mascil with  Art Anthology's Sorbet in Rudy Pink. Love the effect it made!

Here is the inside of the front cover:  I kept it simple by adding a border as well as this die cut sentiment.

On the first page, I allowed most of it to show through. I added a circle for the "opening" of the camera then again layered die cuts and chipboard.

My friends and I did the Dirty Girl 5k last summer up in Graylake, IL. The race has fun, muddy obstacles as well as raises money for breast cancer awareness and research.

Our team: The Udder Mudders! This is our "before" picture.

Love the gold glitter embossed paper that comes with this line. Here, I used more border pieces, as well as a cute chipboard button.  I added veneer hearts from Studio Calico and Freckled Fawn.

For this page, I used a chipboard photo frame from Crate Paper to accent my photo.  I then added pieces of chipboard, as well as sequins, and a cute wooden veneer woman.

One of the clear stamps from the Summer Stories Clear Stamp set:

I love how Teresa includes pennant and flag die cuts in her collections!  I made a banner with  combination of colors and added borders and a flair badge from {a flair for buttons}.

For this page, I did not cover it with paper but inked it with alcohol ink and the 6 Inch Circle Mascil.
I adhered my photos back to back, then added embellishments to each.  You can see one of new clear butterfly decorative pins from Jillibean Soup.

Here is a close up of the effect from the Mascil:  love working with them!

Thanks for stopping by! If you haven't tried the Clear Scrap Mascils I strongly recommend them!  Plus, there are 4 new designs.....including my favorite: chevrons!!  Have a great day!

Practical Scrappers Wedding Theme Inspiration

Happy Friday!  It's a hot one here in Central Illinois! The kids and I are headed to the pool this afternoon!  Summer is finally here!  Since this is the popular time for weddings, today on
Practical Scrappers we have some great wedding themed projects!

I decided to do a layout with one of my wedding photos using Crate Paper's DIY Shop line.

Here I layered some of the ephemera and one of the layered stickers:

More of the die cut pieces and layered stickers. I also added wooden veneer people from Studio Calico.

I cut my title out on the Silhouette. Before adhering it to my layout, I lightly sprayed it with Tattered Angels Mist in Caribbean Blue.

Stop by the Practical Scrappers blog to see more wedding projects! Everyone enjoy their Friday! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Simple Stories' Urban Traveler mini album *photo heavy*

Hello and happy Saturday! I'm sharing my last project done with Simple Stories' Urban Traveler for The Scrapbooking Studio.  I created this mini book documenting our trip to London way back in 2002!  I love the colors of this collection...you can use it for pretty much any vacation/trip.

I used Pink Paislee's Portfolio album which I misted with spray ink and then covered with papers and embellishments from Urban Traveler. I also used some fun orange/white chevron washi tape from a past Amy Tangerine line!

I used a combination of the page inserts and well as photo sleeves in my book. I added sheets of patterned paper as well.

Love the coordinating cardstock stickers! Here, I also added a wooden veneer geo tag from
Studio Calico. The little stamped "you are here" is from Teresa Collins' Far and Away Clear Stamp set.

A close up of one of the chipboard embellishments and layered sticker.

I love the photo sleeves...I added a pocket of gold sequins here :)

I did some hand stitching using Amy Tangerine's embroidery template.

Here,  I added journaling to a hidden tag behind my photo.

This travel line is one of my all time favorites! Thanks for stopping by today!  :)
Have a great weekend!
